I wasn’t planning to capture a blurry photo, but accidentally the camera shaken and this photo came out.
Despite the ghostliness, I still find some beauty within this night scene so I decided to share with you.
A lake where a field used to be, reflects the Golden Ears Mountains in the afternoon light, while the farmer tries to say his animal feed from the flood.

I like these accidental encounters. You are driving your car through the mountains, the light changes from high standing sun to low standing sun in the evening. It becomes slightly hazy, the shadows become longer, the landscape more diffuse. And suddenly you encounter one subject after the other.
Sierra Nevada. Andalusia, Spain.
We have an irruption of hummingbirds here, or if that's not the correct word, passing hummingbirds on their way south. The rain drew me outdoors and this tiny hummingbird hovered to examine me, it seemed. I adore the sound of their wings and tsk tsking and feeling examined. I did not intend to try to photograph a hummingbird with a macro lens ;-)
My husband counts about nine at his feeders. A passing joy, in addition to the rain! And posted only to show, not tell.
Rufous Hummingbird (Selasphorus rufus) female/juvenile perhaps.
Where am I?
How did I get here?
Isn’t it beautiful!
Where did I put my passport?
That smell…it’s like grandma’s house on a Sunday afternoon.
This bristly ground is ticklish
It’s hard to balance
But delicious
Hang on tight around the pulpy wonder
Live another day
It feels like an eon
Watch the sun stretch fast across your legs
The moisture glistens and vanishes
In the vast scheme of this great big world,
We are all insects
Glimpsing only a fleeting moment of eternity.

“For the way you changed my plans
For being the perfect distraction
For the way you took the idea that i have
Of everything that I wanted to have
And made me see there was something missing (oh yeah) . . .
My accidental happily (ever after oh oh oh)
The way you slime and how you comfort me (with your laughter)
I must admit you were not a part of my book
But now if you open it up and take a look
You're the beginning and the end of every chapter (oh oh)
You're the best thing I never knew I needed (oh)
So when you were here I had no idea
You're the best thing I never knew I needed (that i needed)
So now it's so clear I need you here always . . “

The same film inserted twice, the shots unfortunately quite shifted to each other. We are most creative in our mistakes.
This was a result of accident double-exposure when shooting the starry sky and I kind of like it. On top of Lightroom development, the only manipulation was the radial blur added to make it less noisy.
I don't take photographs of birds because this genre of photography is very specialised, and I am not good enough at it. However, whilst minding my own business at Palm Beach the other day - walking along the track behind the sand dunes - this large bird - a kookaburra - descended from somewhere and sat on the fence right in front of me. He would not move. So I thought well I may as well put him on Flickr.
So - here he is. Kookaburra at Palm Beach, Sydney. Unexpected.

Just an accidential shot taken in Blackdragon Viewer while messing with settings didnt even use a pose nor ao lol....
For no real reason other than because it was there, I was photographing a dragonfly that had become trapped in the water on the surface of Deerskin Lake. Getting stuck in the water was accidental for sure, as it certainly didn’t want to become dinner for another creature, which of course it did. Moments after capturing this image it was snapped up from below by a fish.
The other dragonfly, the one above the trapped insect with its reflection in the water below the ripples, is accidental in that I just didn’t know that it had moved into the frame while I was snapping pictures. Thus, I accidentally captured it.

After I had let the golden flower bloom on my driveway, I picked it and put in a vase for a few days. On my way back to the kitchen I had lain it down on my wicker garden seat. I was setting my ISO for a completely different image altogether using the flower as focus and checking my settings. When I uploaded it I sort of liked it.. I think. The big ball of bokeh is my garden light and the bright yellow was a cluster of flowers. Think it may be a bit bright, my ISO was high, but it's different and I thought I'd share it anyway.
I hope it brightens your day

I found this on my camera roll while processing a bunch of waterfall pics. I kinda like it. Makes a nice desktop wallpaper.
This photo is literally an accident, I couldn't believe the fresh battery I had just put in the camera was dead. I took the camera away from my eye and pressed the shutter button a couple times and this happened. Two off-brand batteries, both new, recently charged and dead. :(
Anyway, I decided to share this because so many of my photos are taken on this patch of earth, some just outside the frame (including the photo posted just before this one), nevertheless I shoot a lot in this general area.
The Robin crashed into a window I kept an eye out to see if he was alright, luckily he found his bearings and flew of 15 minutes later.
A funny random snap of Samyi from ages ago... just found it, thought it was funny so I pimped it up in a photo editing program and thought it came out kinda cool...

While waiting for a traffic light to turn green, I decided I wanted to take a photo and lifted my camera just when the light turned and the vehicle moved. I could go back for a do-over, but after sitting with this a while i realized this blurry image makes me feel something when I look at it, in a way the shot I intended never would have accomplished.
