Here is the campsite at Douglas Provincial Park recently re-designed to be accessible. Note the bench design to accommodate wheelchairs. The path to the left leads to a washroom.
Spitfire engines are ridiculously easy to get to. You can sit on a a front tire and work in comfort, unlike the Midget, which requires leaning over the engine bay until your back cries, "Enough." We plan to remove the bonnet before the engine swap.

At the Gambrill Mill, a 1/2-mile loop trail (right) provides scenic views of the Monocacy River as well as interpretive waysides. A portion of this trail is wheelchair accessible.

At I Love Nature we wanted to create a few classrooms around the site. We had an area of land that consisted of old mine waste. Rather than dig it out with a machine we decided to build on top of it. We did so by using 70 coach tyres stacked and bolted onto each other and filled with rubble. Onto the tyres we bolted together pallets as a base floor. We then built a ramp out of pallets and clad the sides with log hand rails and raspberry cane dressing. We stripped over 100 pallets for their planks and clad the entire deck and ramp with them. We started in December 2014 and finished in July 2015 (working odd weekends when we could). Hard work, but worth it. Project cost us under £200, which covered the nuts and bolts, wood supports, screws and trips to collect pallets and tyres. Hardest part was levelling the base with the tyres. We used planks of pallet wood to level as we bolted the lot together. The lengthy process was removing individual planks from the pallets and then laying them out on the deck, screwing them down was quite a few days of work. We used screws instead of nails so they could easily be removed and replaced over time.

The floors of bus in the Netherlands are low, so they are easy to step into. For people on wheel-chairs, it's easy to pull out a ramp at the bus door for them to get in and get out.

Kickapoo State Recreation Area is an Illinois state park on 2,842 acres (1,150 hectares) in Vermilion County. Located between Oakwood and Danville, this park is easily accessible to Interstate 74. It is 28 miles away from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and 95 miles from Indianapolis. According to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, the name Kickapoo originated from the Kickapoo village that once existed near the junction of the Salt Fork and Middle Fork branches of the Vermilion River. After European-Americans settled in the area and displaced the Native American population, settlers began to dig wells to harvest salt from salt springs, called salines. In the early 20th century the land was then strip-mined for coal. Kickapoo State Park was one of the first parks in the United States to be located on formerly strip-mined lands. The state of Illinois purchased the Kickapoo State Park Area in 1939 with donation money from Danville residents, and the land has since recovered from the extraction of these resources.
Today, Kickapoo State Park has 221 acres of ponds and lakes with nearly 35 miles of hiking trails for many types of recreational activities including camping, canoeing, hunting, mountain biking, and fishing. In the winter season, ice fishing and cross-country skiing are popular pastimes for visitors to the park. Campsites are available year-round with RV and electric hookups available. There are 22 deep water ponds which are accessible to electric motor boats, canoes, and kayaks. Visitors to the park may rent a canoe or kayak to paddle down the Vermilion River, which runs through the center of Kickapoo State Park. Scuba diving is also allowed within the park.
