Sometimes the Bears get a little testy with each other. It really is none of my business to intervene. It is between them really.

I decided to have some fun today and do two different kinds of exterior lighting for Mosaic Montage Monday and one interior lighting for DazzlePix MOSAICS & MONTAGES.

With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating, stay safe, and laugh often! ❤️❤️❤️😊😊😍

These bottles were actually sitting on a shelf under this light in a cheery, sunny tearoom that sat just off a winding road in the mountains of North Carolina. The old house was decorated in typical tearoom style, full of antiques and collectibles, dried vines, and art...and on each table was a little guest book where diners could write a few words about their stop there.

Textures are my own, a combination of a piece of a metal pot that sits by my front door, another piece of metal, and my Christmas tree lights. :)

Looking north in Kansas City's Union Station to the chair of Santa. Lights hanging from the ceiling, red accentlights, and foreground floor snowflakes create a winter wonderland.

There is so much I like about this scene. The light, colors, angles, lines, shadows, shapes and feel. It's discoveries like these that make night street photography so rewarding. Can't wait to get back out and see what else I can find.

...but I only want this one.

This isn't a usual style photograph from me, I really like the darker stuff, but I'm still quite content with this. :] (even though I noticed a lot of my pictures have had a lighter side to them or a smile.)

And wow, this is the first time in over a month that I actually did my hair, wore makeup, wore my contacts, and even smiled. :D

Inspired by Nikki's fish photo,

Amy's inspiring description from her photograph, and oddly enough, Kelly's fish bowl.

[Haha and also still oddly enough...Mark] :]

Seeing the best boy in my life tonight and I'm finally going to get to talk to him! Finally! I've gotten up the strength I need to, because this is a serious matter. As I said though me and him can solve anything, and I know this we can solve together. He tells me how he'll be there for me no matter what, and right now I need him, because actually I'm really scared. I can't disclose what's happening though until i talk to him. Everything is alright, but well something has happened to me and I've held it in long enough since I found out. So here's to tonight!

Okay so I can't talk to Mark now, he has stayed late at school to work on some homework, and eek now my nerves have gone all asd;ofkaskldga on me. :/ I'm going to catch him in the morning and see if I can see him after classes.

Setup: three YN560III, keylight 1/4 upper left 45° with white reflector umbrella 62' & accentlights 1/8 left&right 90° with strobostrips 100cm.

Shot with Elinchrom Quadra(s). I used 2 of them making possible to fire 4 heads.

Here, there is a Portalite Softbox which is a square softbox set at f10 on a C-Stand at the top of a miniboom. The helmet covers his face so I need a fill otherwise you could not see his face and his eyes at all. I tried to bounce a light against a golden reflector lying on the ground to get light back from below. It worked... too well actually. Not only his face was getting light but the entire scene. Not what I was going for. I needed more control, just a light on his face to light it up. So I decided to put a snoot aiming at his face. As you see, I should have aimed a little higher. But, well, it's OK. This my lesson, the thing I will take with me for the next similare shoot : People with hats or caps. A third fill is there - very decent - for the lower part of Didi's uniform : a ring Flash set on the ground aiming toward his chest at f2,8. I did not pay attention what the f stop was for the snoot, it has been a try - fail -try - fail and so on.

It's good to take a lot of frames since pixels are free, but while setting the light, the way to go is to shoot - scan the picure on the LCD - adjust - shoot...

I really admire what firefighters do to save our lives, they train hard, and when no one else would be able save you : fire, car accident,... They are here. They don't even get paid. They do all the trainings during their free time.

My pictures of them is a way to say : THANK YOU !

Shot with my trusty Nikon D700, with my 24 to 70mm at f10.

I love lighted wine bottles because of the different colors reflected on the painting and on the colored glass from the lights inside. This one is green and has hand painted poppies in red and orange. These are recycled wine bottles and they make a great accent light for your kitchen, bar area, tabletop, sun room or porch.
