Es una raza de perro de tamaño estándar, pelaje corto y cuerpo robusto, tipo moloso, de origen Norteamericano. Desde 2013, es reconocida principalmente por el UKC (United Kennel Club), por el CHCA (Club Híbrido Canino Americano) y por el ABKC (American Bully Kennel Club).
Los molosos son un grupo de perros caracterizados por tener una constitución musculosa, fuertes mandíbulas, gran cabeza y hocico corto, lo que les hace ser excelentes guardianes y defensores.
El American Bully es una raza relativamente joven (1980) aunque su desarrollo y el reconocimiento de ésta no fue hasta 1990. De acuerdo con UKC, la raza se ha obtenido por medio de la cruza de un American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Bulldog Inglés y el Bulldog francés en su origen. Sin embargo, existen controversias con respecto a la participación del Pitbull. El ABKC (American Bully Kennel Club), por ejemplo, afirma que la única raza implicada en el desarrollo del American Bully fue el American Staffordshire terrier.
Sus criadores pusieron especial cuidado en conseguir un perro que fuera un excelente compañero familiar, seleccionando cuidadosamente los atributos más deseables del American Stafforshire Terrier, con el temperamento noble y tranquilo del bulldog, con lo que se ha conseguido una mascota de temperamento leal y delicado, aunque físicamente (a pesar de su estampa robusta) deja mucho que desear debido a que no desempeña ninguna función de trabajo como perro.

Leased from Air Berlin from Dec-08 to Dec-11 when it reverted to D-ABKC, then became N741SM, VP-BUG, N37741 and LY-TFS for KlasJet.
From the Bully the Kid Bullymania show February 19, 2011. He took best in class (Extreme Males 2-3 years) & best overall male (Extreme Males).

This aircraft was delivered to Lufthansa as D-ABKC in Jul-92. Lufthansa didn't keep their B737-400's very long and it was sold to a lessor as EI-COI in Jun-97.
In Jul-97 it was leased to Air One (Italy) and returned to the lessor in Dec-10. There were plans to sell the aircraft to China Postal Airlines for freighter conversion but that didn't happen and it was leased to Blue Air (Romania) as YR-BAJ about a week later.
It was returned to the lessor and stored at Tucson, AZ, USA in Dec-17. It was sold to Aircraft Engine Lease Finance Inc as N627AC in Feb-18 and sold on to Shell Aerospace Supplies LLC in Mar-18.
In Aug-18 the aircraft was ferried to Bogota, Colombia for lease to GCA Airlines (Gran Colombia de Aviacion), but they never got started and it remained stored at Bogota.
It was sold to TVPX Aircraft Solutions Inc in Sep-20 and leased to Estelar Latinoamerica (Venezuela) as YV3537 in Oct-22. The aircraft was stored at Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela on delivery and never entered service.
In Feb-23 it was re-registered YV658T with Avior Airlines but doesn't seem to have moved from Puerto Ordaz. Perhaps it's been used as a spares source! Updated 19-Apr-24.
