Back in Scotland for today's photos. This was taken yesterday at Loch Ard. Its starting to get very autumnul here.

Early(ish) morning on the Duke's Pass, near Aberfoyle in the Trossachs. Not as good as it might have been in the absence of a fairly stiff breeze.

3exp HDR plus a touch of the famous ETC filter.

What a Sunrise to wake up to.

I have been getting withdrawls from the misty conditions so here is a misty panoramic shot overlooking Gartmore with Aberfoyle, Craigmore and Ben Venue in the distance.

Taken at the Aberfoyle Flea Market. One fantastic place to shop on a Sunday.

A couple of windows here.

Happy Window Wednesday

The freshwater “Loch Ard” just to the west of the Stirlingshire village of Aberfoyle is one of the 22 lochs that make up the “Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park” in Scotland. In the far distance just above the tree line is snow covered “Ben Lomond” which sits on the shore of “Loch Lomond” and is the most southerly munro in Scotland (mountains over 3000ft), the Trossachs area is a great place to visit for all kinds of sporting activities.

30:52 Bicycle Parts – you can shoot the whole bike or whatever part you like.

One from a previous misty morn as the River Forth twists through Aberfoyle.

Another of my photos of Loch Ard, just outside Aberfoyle. This was taken at the same spot as my last photo of the jetty and boathouse, just turned the camera 60 degrees.... :o)

Another photo created from 3 stacked photos of foreground, middle and background. This was taken at the start of Loch Ard near Aberfoyle. Another photographer was on the jetty taking photos when I arrived and started to set up my tripod and he kindly finished, went back in his car at the side of the road and drove off. I was actually standing at the edge of the small road leading out of Aberfoyle when taking these....

A tranquil scene in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, en route to Stronachlacar.

I saw these in a wood near Aberfoyle. Bluebells are usually finished in early May in the south of England where I'm from. But they were still in full bloom in the Scottish Highlands in June.

In the parking lot in Aberfoyle. I find some nice old vehicles in this lot from time to time.

Happy Truck tHuRsDay

Lovely little quiet lochan hidden away in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, all within an easy walk from the Forestry Commission C/park just to the west of the village of Milton, near Aberfoyle.

A macro of some tiny fruiting bodies of a slime mould that my mum found at David Marshall Lodge in Aberfoyle a few weeks ago. We both took photos to compare; I wasn't that impressed with mine, to be honest! The dof was really limited hand-holding in dark woodland. I'd love to have another go at this, with better light, and a tripod.

A little bit different in the Slider vein. Almost across from the Aberfoyle Flea Market is this view of new housing right near a farm.

Happy Slider Sunday

Excerpt from stjacobsmodelrailway.com/about/:

Located in the beautiful downtown core of St. Jacobs, the St. Jacobs & Aberfoyle Model Railway moved to the village in 2013 after having a long history in Aberfoyle.

St. Jacobs & Aberfoyle Model Railway is an O scale (¼”= 12″) model railway depicting Southern Ontario in the late 1950’s. All our models are hand built and represent both major Canadian railways, Canadian National and Canadian Pacific. Come watch our freight trains and passenger cars recreate the era of the great train journeys.

Our scenery depicts parts of the Niagara Escarpment including countryside, rivers, towns and a large city. You may recognize many of the industries, structures and scenery, which are based on real locations in the Southern Ontario area.

Aberfoyle, Scotland. Just before Autumn kicks in

My evening walk through the forest just after sunset,

A coupled pair of emerald damselflies that my mum kindly found for me when we met up last weekend at David Marshall Lodge in Aberfoyle. I think this is the first time I've seen these little beauties.

Looking over loch Ard towards Ben Lomond

Loch Ard is in The Trossachs near Aberfoyle a beautiful area of Scotland.

A quick shot on my mobile phone caught this heavy rainshower as it moved across the landscape around the Scottish town of Aberfoyle
