If you have time check out PSTUTS this artist and many other talented artists have great Photoshop tutorials and I think the registration is free if you allow their cookie. I changed the original smart filters to change the text in the smoke and used a similar cup. The other images are stock photos.

So we finally went to Tron Legacy yesterday...IT WAS ABSOLUTLY FAB!!!

The visuals and the soundtrack where overwhelming enough and masked the shallow story enough to keep me in awe. I don’t think I’ve been this excited to see a movie since “The Phantom Menace” and I’ll include this one to my impressive movie list.

Now where van I get me some glowy clothes?

Just had to do this to Pixel, and Willow will follow, as soon as he’s up to being snapped again.

If you like scifi, great visuals, awesome soundtracks, gadgets and things that glow, go see this movie!!

Oh and btw, this image got featured on Abduzeedo's Blog, so cool!

I'm participating in the World Collabs competition over at abduzeedo.com and would like to know which of 2 designs I should submit for my entry.

Should it be this one? Tell me by commenting!

Absolutely better when Viewed Large On Black, I promess.

An old shot, a new processing.

I've just learnt how to do a Cross Processing effect to digital photos. I would love your feedback about this... Besides, I think I'm going into addiction.

See some tips here and here.

Sorry for my absence of comments and notes lately, I've been pretty busy these days and haven't had much time to appreciate your works :( I will catch y'all up later!

The Mutianyu section of The Great Wall is situated 56 miles (90km) north of Beijing and is known for its dramatic mountainous setting, fewer visitors and its less intrusive tourist industry. With a series of watchtowers along its recently restored length, the wall you can see here dates from 1368 and was built upon the foundations of a wall built during the Northern Qi Dynasty (AD 550-577).

Here is a poster I designed for the Montreal Meets event on January 25th at Concordia University. Fabio Sasso from Abduzeedo and myself will both be doing hour-long presentations on inspiration, creativity, art, design and a bunch of other fun topics.

Hope to see you there!

I have always found being a dad easy... something that came natural to me. You never get taught to be a father, You just take all the good things from your own parents and use them in your own way.. I always have time for all of my kiddies and me and the Mrs make a great team. But just recently its becoming difficult. We are going through a "phase" with our eldest daughter and none of us have ever experienced this before. And its not easy.

We are learning fast to deal with whats happening and hopefully we can look back on this time and say we won !!

Its worrying...

Its a time when she needs my presence more than my presents.

I always kiss her goodnight...even if she is asleep..

And when she wants my attention,, i take note and listen.

And she has all the love in the world....

The Stunning South-African Outback

The shot might look a bit too dark, but for that I blame my laptop since colours tend to show other level of contrasts than it does on my PC.

Nevertheless, is does not take away the fact that is an amazing shot if I may say so

I would like to thank Abduzeedo.com for a publication on their website which resulted in a strong increase in views and ofcourse some compliments! Thank you very much for the one who wrote that tutorial.

Yesterday I noticed by coincidence that one of my Berlin Photographs has been bought by Lonely Planet Publications so I am hoping to one day look at my personal shot from Berlin someday, but I am not sure what the purpose of the purchase was!

Daily Photo - A Great Day at the Google HQ!

Wow that was a cool experience. Those guys and gals over there are super-nice. You never know... I guess maybe Google seems somewhat intimidating from the outside, but after I met guys like Cliff, Brian, and Chip -- I felt right at home.

I gave an hour-long talk in one of their theaters there. It was super-packed and people were standing all around because seats were gone. We were graced with the presence of one Sara Jane Todd from @Peachpit to help out selling books - and we sold out! Also, my Brazilian friend Fabio, the editor of Abduzeedo was there too, so it was great to see him.

The Authors@Google (video link) program has a neat deal where they subsidize books, so Googlers don't have to pay full price. I saw all kinds of cool stuff and took a lot of pics. I have to get most cleared with Google Corp Comms before I can release... but I nabbed shots of a spaceship, a new pseudo-holodeck, and more mysteries await! We even got to eat lunch there in the Google cafeteria, which had some of the most excellent food I've ever had in such a setting... they even have a small organic farm on the campus... well, I could go on and on... but I was very impressed and happy to meet so many enthusiastic people!

The video should be done in the next 2-3 weeks or so. We've got good-man Brian at Google slaving away on editing the whole thing together!

My South-Africa, what to say more?

During the Gardenroute Roadtrip, me and my parents booked a game drive in a private game reserve which included a day drive, a sunset drive and a night drive. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, as you can see here some springbok's which is the national symbol of the country and from which one of them is lying on the floor in my bedroom...

Furthermore we say lions, hippo's and rhino's from which photos will follow.

This was a lucky yet awesome shot in my opinion.

This is the Perito Moreno Glacier that empties into Lago Argentina. It was simply awesome to be there, as you can plainly see.

I was there with a bunch of Russians who had brought an insane amount of cognac. Between shots, they would all drink cognac, yell, and try to bring down the next ice wall. We were the only ones there, and we stayed until the last moments of dark to eek out every last bit of light from the sky.

Also, I wanted to point you to an article over at Abduzeedo yesterday about the new book. It was written by good man Paulo Canabarro (his Twitter account here). You can also follow @Abduzeedo if you are looking for another good set of Tweets. I notice that people that complain about Twitter always have the same sort of complaints: "I don't want to know when everyone is standing in line at Starbucks!" Well, then, I say, you are following the wrong people! Once you get 50-100+ people to follow, it becomes a nice source for information, fun, and inspiration. It might take a while to build your personalized list, but then you will be hooked. (I am @TreyRatcliff, in case ya didn't know).
