I was just packing away as a thick bank of cloud had drifted across the sunwhen suddenly there was a small break & the sun came though ,illuminating a small area of land below....
I camped along the Brachina road so as to photograph the early morning sun strike the top of the ABC Range. It was freezing at 6 am, so I struggled to get out of my roof top tent and then needed to run to a vantage point. The view is always worth it :)

ABC Stollenbunker Anlage auf einem ehemaligen Kasernengelände. Der Stollen diente bereits im 2. Weltkrieg als Luftschutzbunker. Er wurde dann im kalten Krieg zur ABC Stollenbunker Anlage umgebaut. Auf dem Foto sieht man die schwere Drucktür die die Anlage zur Außenwelt abschottet.

The fall colors were peaking on a sunny Sunday as a friend and I caught the Akron Barberton Cluster Railway job returning to its yard in Barberton. The train is shown here on the CSX New Castle Subdivision about to duck beneath Market Street in Akron. The stone retaining wall to the left is the former ramp leading from Market Street to the second Akron Union Depot, which was demolished in the early 1950s after the opening of the third Union Depot, which still stands today and is owned by the University of Akron.
ABC Travel: (ABC 75Y) an Eastern Coach Works bodied Leyland Olympian long wheel base to the coach style used by the National Bus Company.
This vehicle was new to NBC subsidiary ALder Valley as their 1503 (YPJ 503Y) and stayed with them for a few years before passing to Clyde Coast in Scotland from where it was acquired by ABC Travel.
