ABC is short for "air batu campur" or "ice kacang", a local Malaysian dessert for hot days made using shaved ice, rose syrup, condensed milk, peanuts, corn, various jelly and other edibles, sometimes topped with a scoop of ice cream too.
The Wheel always puts on a show in the ABC windows — it’s like the building was designed just to catch those reflections. This night shot came from a different angle than I usually go for, and it ended up revealing a bit more of the offices inside while still grabbing that bright spin on the glass. A nice mix of real and reflected, all in one frame.
Zagnut candy bar is a crunchy, flaky peanut butter core coated in toasted coconut. It was introduced in 1930 by the D.L. Clark Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was launched as a "no-melt" candy, lacking a chocolate coating, and thus, it was ideal for warm climates. During World War II, the U.S. government commissioned Zagnut as a morale booster for military rations as it was particularly popular with soldiers stationed in tropical areas. Zagnut remains in production today by Hershey, though it is considered a "retro" or "hard-to-find" candy.
