Hoya HMC Macro Zoom 75-260/4.5

or maybe not... this might be some kind of bell instrument. it was at the Chinese Gardens.

Photo taken for the December 6, 2021 Macro Mondays theme: five.

Someday I may learn to use this cute little abacus properly; until then, it's fun to play with and makes a very satisfying rattle.

Ce boulier miniature ramené d'un dernier voyage de Chine me sert de presse papier mais en macro, on peut imaginer le travail de calculs fait derrière la caisse par les anciens commerçants en exercice.

- My wife did buy the set of gold (14 crt) abacus cufflinks in Hong Kong during the early 1970's.

The beads are all individual movable.

- I do wear these cufflinks only on the -now seldom- occasions when I wear a dinner jacket (tuxedo).

- dimensions of a cufflink: 2 x 1.2 cm

I might have used an extension tube and/or a Raynox on this shot but I lost track of what I was doing…

I can never resist trying to capture the brilliance of tiny water droplets especially when strung along a spider's web. These yesterday were on our driveway and were still frozen.
