Der Schmutzgeier gehört zur Gattung der Habichtarten. Er
hat weßes Gefieder. Einzig die Schwungfedern sind schwarz. Der Kopf ist leuchtend orange mit gebogenem langen Schnabel. Die Schnabelspitze ist dunkel. Sie ernähren sich von Aas, Fischen, Insekten und manchmal auch von Früchten. Straußeneier öffnen sie mit Steinen. Sie bewerfen die Eier so lange, bis sie platzen.
These vultures belonging to the genus of the hawk species . He has white plumage . Only the flight feathers are black . The head is bright orange with a curved long beak . The beak is dark . They feed on carrion , fish, insects and sometimes fruit . They open ostrich eggs with stones . They throw the eggs until they burst.
