Passes Away at the Home of His Son.

Mr. Aaron Matthews, one of the oldest men of this county, died at the home of his son, Mr. Heber Matthews, in Hartford yesterday morning at seven o'clock, after a lingering illness of several weeks.

He was born in Muhlenberg county near South Carrollton June 8, 1816, and moved with his parents to Warrick county, Ind., when four years of age. He was the father of ten children, six by his first wife and four by his second, who is now living. Two of his first wife's children are now living, and one of his second wife, Mr. Heber Matthews, foreman of the Hartford Herald.

Funeral services, were conducted from the family residence yesterday morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. G.J. Bean, after which the remains were taken to Mt. Gilead Cemetery, near Boonville, Ind., and laid by the side of his first wife.

I've only know this young man for a short time. We met while serving as mentors for a local non-profit. After hearing him speak and share a few things I knew right away I would have to photograph him.

This was our first photo session. I think it went pretty damn well.
