The White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders convened dozens of young leaders from across the nation on May 20, 2016 at the White House. These young leaders discussed many of the key issues affecting the AAPI youth community including civic engagement, accessing opportunities to public service careers, immigration, mental health and bullying. They were able to share best practices, brainstorm solutions to obstacles they experienced while working in their communities and built connections to continue their great efforts within their communities.
