Diesel locomotive 573 in the late afternoon sun on Railfan Day 2018 ready for one last run up to Crawford Notch. There's just a hint of color in the trees this year, with much more to come.

Upon revisiting my photo archive of my day in Big Sur, I was surprised to find that I didn't edit many RAW files from this location! So, after the views of the ride south towards Big Sur and its big ascents...I present the iconic CA Highway-1 location, Bixby Bridge. After much climbing, one is awarded this view right around the bend as seen from a distance. I've edited all the RAW files and managed to create combinations of panoramas that I didn't have.
The usual suspects: flowers!
Focus stacked in Helicon Focus from 8 photos.
Focus bracketing was made possible in-camera with an experimental app for Sony a6000.
Bad weather photography. Only rain at the moment. Therefore black and white with a bit of macro. Some waterdops hanging on the line.
This is such a beautiful church and I have wanted to shoot photos here but haven't taken the time. I was headed home from picking up dinner and noticed the stain glass window for the first time. During the day it blends in with the structure but it was stunningly lit tonight. I struggle (suck) with night photography and relied heavily on Lightroom to help me make the photo look like what my eyes saw.
The face in the tree peeps over the hedgerow watching the people and animals that pass by its field each day, as it has for many, many years.
Thankyou everyone who has followed me and helped me reach 1,000 followers, it´s really a number I didn´t think I ´d reach ever !! Some of the conversations and encouragement I get here really blows me away.
It´s funny, if I was physically in the same room as everyone who views my photo´s and I had to hold up my photo and show/ explain about it, I would probably be too nervious and self aware of anything I could have done better with it lol
Thanks again to all the people who have followed, faved, commented and viewed my work !!
I took this shot on my Ricoh Rikenon 50mm F2 : )
We had some rainy days in the Swiss Alps when I visited last summer. I headed to nearby Fanas, a village with 400 souls on the mountainside of the Prättigau valley, located in the canton of Graubünden. It's fun taking photos in the rain.
I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
