Lichens in the woods of the river banks of Kanshaboti near Melbandhan Setu (Bamboo bridge). by Biswarup Sarkar

I found these lichens in the Dooars and also in high altitude forests of North Bengal Himalayas. Interesting enough that this same species of lichens I found in the riverside plains of Kanshaboti, West Midnapore, West Bengal.

photographed from my sweet water aquarium...

Nerita is a genus of medium-sized to small sea snails with a gill and an operculum, marine gastropod molluscs in the subfamily Neritinae of the family Neritidae, the nerites.

They can be well suited in fresh water aquarium. They thrive strictly on vegetable diet made from marine algae, spirulina and carotenoids.
