I've had a halogen heater just like this for several years (see here) It's very handy. I'm economising by not putting the central heating on as high as it used to be so I'll have this beside me when I have my lunch – the original one is upstairs near my computer.
OK, now tell me that this is a very expensive way to ensure warmth and it's cheaper to turn the central heating up 😳

I found this fan-like heater at the sake factory in Handa City. I'd never seen one before!

When NS used heater cars in the diesel trains out of Zutphen and Zwolle, there was a weekly run to Arnhem with one of these cars for maintenance. The train ran around noon and was pulled by an electric engine.

Yuba and Tigger surround the heater in the kitchen of our house in Yubari in September of 2016. Bonkers claimed high ground on the chair. I don't think the heater was on because if it were, the cats would be directly in front of it.

Passengers that boarded the Titanic at Cherbourg France were ferried out to the ship by the Nomadic.
Detail of workmanship on the Nomadic is the same as what you would expect to have seen on the Titanic.
Today must be Tigger Day, from all of the pictures I took of her today. Tigger this morning, warming up next to the heater in the kitchen.
It seems that the left side has the only adjustment to the water heater. It is very sensitive (either luke warm or extremely hot). However, it does seem to be working.
Seriously old-school heater in Prague Castle. It's made of porcelain, and radiates heat to the room. In the old days I imagine there'd be burning wood or maybe coal inside, but I would imagine that nowadays they would have updated it with gas flame.

I figured this would reasonably easy to replace the heater core since it is accessible from the engine bay not buried in the dashboard. Not quite true as that whole structure needs to come out with the blower motor, AC and sensors on it. It got lots of 6mm and 7mm bolts AND is glued to the firewall. I think I am about half way to removal of cover. Not the worst job ever but sure seems kinda more involved than necessary.
Heater core is under the smaller hoses that go to the firewall next to that brace.
Ry love this fireplace. It's just the perfect size for him monitor... he's always 'throwing in new logs' and making sure it doesn't get too hot. ;)
