A shot I've been wanting for a while but I've actually done very little of the KY this year. (Its the CC Sub now for all those kids under 60.) Anyway today I make it happen, though I thought sure a last second bright red car was going to stop right in the middle of my picture, or get hit by the train. But it made it on across. So here's Q542 at Hazel Patch, Ky Sunday evening.
CC week 17: Black & White in camera
Camera set to B&W. Used a 3-shot Dynamic Range Optimizer bracket and found I preferred the lowest DRO image as it seemed softer and more appropriate for these little flowers.

Today's OARCB (old ass rivet counter boomer) mundane wedgie, especially for Craig Williams, #2 of my only two shots I got yesterday, W601 has just finished loading at Mt Vernon. (Shot #1 was a standard HOT at North Cabin.) If you're only going to get two shots to show for a whole day try and make one of them a good one (or at least one you like).

My plan yesterday to shoot the 911 was the Thre B's, Boonesboro, Boyd, and Butler. I got the first and third but scratched Boyd for Robinson as seen here. So today's OARCB (old ass rivet counter boomer) mundane wedgie, is T117 at Robinson yesterday afternoon. Like at Boonesboro, I had this shot to myself to my surprise. (OK, I guess I do kinda need a shower...)

At about 8 feet tall, this second bloom of hollyhock was blown over in November wind. Undaunted, it took a 90 degree turn upward and kept on blooming.

August, 72180 in Paris Gare de l'Est anzutreffen. Zwischen den modernen Triebwagen wirkte die stark nach Diesel und Schmierfett riechende Lok wie ein Relikt aus einer vergangenen Zeit.
CC Week 35: Black n White
A bright pink hollyhock converted to grayscale in post, brightness and sharpness enhanced.
CC week 18: Perspective
I had the image I wanted all set up when Louie stuck his head into the frame! Sometimes accidents make better pictures.;-)
A late running Q541 at Ford, KY on Thursday. It'll meet a northbound U700 here. But sadly meets are rare on the CC these days. South of Cincinnati it had 191 cars and after a small setoff at Patio its still close to 11,000 feet long.
