And bad scrum. However, these bees were moving so fast that I could usually only catch one or two on the approach. That's why there is a summary of the story with several pictures to see here ;-) It was incredibly fascinating to watch the busy bees doing their busy work. There were so many, back and forth again and again – digging earth out of the tunnel, whirling it with the wings, flying to the neighbors' roses, cutting leaves, rolling them up, transporting them to the flower pot and crawling into the depths of the soil ... I hope my oleander will survive ;-)

Und arges Gedrängel. Allerdings waren diese Bienen so schnell unterwegs, dass ich meistens nur eine oder zwei im Anflug erwischen konnte. Deshalb gibt es hier eine Zusammenfassung der Geschichte aus mehreren Bildern zu sehen ;-) Es war unglaublich faszinierend, die umtriebigen Bienen bei ihrer emsigen Tätigkeit zu beobachten. Es waren so viele, immer wieder hin und zurück – Erde aus dem Tunnel wühlen, mit den Flügeln wegwirbeln, zu den Rosen des Nachbarn fliegen, Blatt zuschneiden, aufrollen, zum Blumentopf transportieren und in die Tiefen des Erdreichs hineinkrabbeln ... Ich hoffe, mein Oleander überlebt es ;-)

Dear friends, what are we doing in times when we are not allowed to travel? We can take photos around our home - sure. I guess we all do this - till we cannot see anything new any more, right? And then we remember the great times where we have been at the most wonderful places that are right now and possibly forever totally out of reach - full of desire. Such a place is Machu Picchu for me - a magic place and a place that I had the chance to visit exactly one year before.
We were fifteen people in our group last year - great folks and we are still in contact. And one of us had the idea to start with a kind of diary from our tour to South America in our WhatsApp group. So we start each day with a short summary of what we experienced that day and everybody contribute with photos, comments and memories - and so we are virtually travelling back to the past and redo our tour again...and are happy about all the little things that we thought we have forgotten and can now enjouy again...
That's also the reason why I am posting these photos now here on flickr and hope to take you with me a bit along that journey...

Liebe Freunde, was machen wir in Zeiten, in denen wir nicht reisen dürfen? Wir können Fotos rund um unser Zuhause machen - sicher. Ich denke, wir alle machen das - bis wir nichts Neues mehr finden können, oder? Und dann erinnern wir uns an die großartigen Zeiten, in denen wir an den schönsten Orten waren, die jetzt und möglicherweise für immer völlig unerreichbar sind - voller Sehnsucht. Ein solcher Ort ist für mich Machu Picchu - ein magischer Ort und ein Ort, den ich genau vor einem Jahr besuchen durfte.
Wir waren fünfzehn Leute in unserer Gruppe - großartige Menschen und wir sind immer noch in Kontakt. Und einer von uns hatte die Idee, mit einer Art Tagebuch von unserer Tour nach Südamerika in unserer WhatsApp-Gruppe zu beginnen. So beginnen wir jeden Tag mit einer kurzen Zusammenfassung dessen, was wir an diesem Tag erlebt haben, und alle tragen mit Fotos, Kommentaren und Erinnerungen dazu bei - und so reisen wir praktisch zurück in die Vergangenheit und wiederholen unsere Tour erneut ... und freuen uns über all die kleinen Dinge, von denen wir dachten, dass wir sie schon vergessen hätten und können sie jetzt wieder genießen...
Das ist auch der Grund, warum ich diese Fotos jetzt hier auf Flickr poste und hoffe, Euch auf dieser Reise ein wenig mitnehmen zu können ...

The city palace with its neoclassical façade was built in two phases (1781-1785 and 1808-1809), combining two gothic castles. The four wings of the palace, two of which have arcades, are now a listed building in Regensburg.

GER: Das Thon-Dittmer-Palais liegt im Zentrum der Altstadt der oberpfälzischen Hauptstadt Regensburg in Bayern und ist Teil der nördlichen Randbebauung des Haidplatzes Nr. 8! Das Stadtpalais mit seiner klassizistischen Fassade entstand in zwei Phasen (1781–1785 und 1808–1809) unter Zusammenfassung von zwei gotischen Hausburgen. Die vier Flügel des Palais, von denen zwei mit Arkaden ausgestattet sind, ist mittlerweile ein denkmalgeschütztes Baudenkmal von Regensburg.
In Magdeburg zijn momenteel de eerste werkzaamheden voor het saneren van de spoorbrug over de Elbe. In 2021 wordt de brug 4,5 maand lang gestremd om alles te vervangen en te vernieuwen. Op 27 juni 2020 rolde het nog als vanouds over de brug, zo kwam o.a. LTE 193 232 "Flying Dutchman" met de Poznan Shuttle voorbij. Aan de andere kant van het water is Magdeburg te zien...
Nach über 40 Jahren ununterbrochener Nutzung muss die Eisenbahnbrücke über die Elbe zwischen Magdeburg-Neustadt und Magdeburg Herrenkrug umfassend saniert werden. Für die Dauer der Bauarbeiten ist es notwendig, den Brückenzug über die Stromelbe und das Elbflutgelände mit den angrenzenden Streckenabschnitten vom 23. April bis 10. September 2021 für den Zugverkehr zu sperren. Um in Teilbereichen die alte Farbe im Sandstrahlverfahren zu entfernen und auf einer Fläche von 17.664 m2 einen neuen Korrosionsschutzanstrich aufzubringen, wird die Stahlkonstruktion während der Bauphase aus Gründen des Umwelt- und Lärmschutzes eingehaust. Gleichzeitig werden die Brückenpfeiler und die Oberleitungsanlage sowie auf den Brücken die Schwellenkonstruktion und rund 3 Kilometer Gleise im angrenzenden Streckenabschnitt erneuert. Auf den Überführungen gilt es, 2.226 Brückenbalken auszutauschen, auf denen die Schienen befestigt sind.

Am 27. Juni 2020 war ich in Magdeburg und entschied mich dafür, die Bauarbeiten und die 680 Meter lange Brücke aus der Luft zu fotografieren.
Passend dazu kam noch LTE 193 232 mit ihrem Poznan Shuttle nach Polen über die Brücke gerollt

The custom of lighting candles in the processions and before the images of Christ, the Blessed Virgin and the saints is a very ancient sign that reminds us that Jesus is the light of the world and everyone in it shares that light. The candle is a symbol of spiritual offering, of our devotion that continues beyond our physical presence in the holy place.
Bougies de danse pour demander la paix et l'amour dans le monde.
La coutume des bougies d'éclairage dans les processions et devant les images du Christ, Marie et les saints est un signe très ancien qui nous rappelle que Jésus est la lumière du monde et tout ce qui est dans le partage que la lumière. La bougie est un symbole de l'offrande spirituelle de notre dévotion qui continue au-delà de notre présence physique dans le lieu saint.
Kerzen tanzen Frieden und Liebe in der Welt zu fragen.
Der Brauch, das Anzünden von Kerzen in Prozessionen und vor den Bildern von Christus, Maria und dem Heiligen ist ein sehr altes Zeichen, das uns daran erinnert, dass Jesus das Licht der Welt und alles, was in der gemeinsamen Nutzung, das Licht. Die Kerze ist ein Symbol des geistigen Angebots unserer Hingabe, die außerhalb unserer physischen Präsenz im Heiligen weiter.

Is it true if I say "Magic is an illusion, but the illusion is not magic"? I was trying figure out the difference between magic and illusions. In some cases, it's easier to understand, and Physics gives the answer but not always.
I don't know anything about zodiac signs, but I definitely know this particular "Leo and Aquarius" are not a matching couple.
It is known that the new generation is highly addicted to computers.
My six-year-old daughter said to me, "Dady, why don't you take a photo of the computer keyboard, and share on Flickr."(I hadn't even realized she knew about Flickr) I said to her it'd be boring, but I thought about it.
So... I'd like to generalize the idea how people, more precisely young parents and children, are addicted to computers by these two small objects, and how they are restricted and isolated from other activities.
I did this oil painting.
The story behind this was a woman who looked very frustrated and sad. I guess she was drunken coz she leaned on a wall at a pub/restaurant, looking down at her feet but I noticed she had some scratch marks on her face, and I thought she might have been abused.
I don't know how good this photo interprets the story.
One terrible evening in winter, the husband decided to be separated from his wife, but the wife realised that their children couldn't be separated from them.
I had some FUN with kids telling how "Möbius strip" works, and letting them practice with the red thing.
If you haven't heard about "Möbius strip" which was discovered by the German mathematicians August Ferdinand Möbius and Johann Benedict Listing (each one discovered independently) in the late 19th century, you may find from the internet.

Specks
I've got specks of the universe stuck in my teeth
From taking a bite of tonight's skies
Tidbits of galaxies swim through my head
And the blackness gets locked in my eyes
Voices from every direction call my name
The noise is too much, and then my brain pops
Selfishly, I grab onto the sky before I leave
Time rips in half and everything just stops
She plays with these tiny objects. She finds each of them as her known fruits and vegetables.
That's a true story behind a child's imagination. In her own description:
There are blueberries, raspberries, carrots, a strawberry, celleries, and mushrooms. The mushrooms are white. I hope you can guess what colours are others.
