Auf ihrem Weg durch die Berge des Balkans führt die Bahnstrecke von Belgrad nach Bar über 435 Brücken und durch 254 Tunnel. So wird auch der Tagesschnellzug nach Bar gleich wieder in einem Tunnel verschwinden, nachdem er den Ribnica I-Viadukt im Zlatibor überquert hat.

In its course over the mountains of the Balkans, the line from Belgrade to Bar passes over 435 bridges and through 254 tunnels. So the day train to Bar will vanish in a tunnel soon again after having crossed the Ribnica I viaduct in the Zlatibor mountains.

Am Vormittag des 09.04.2016 konnte bei Stanicenje die ZS 661-112 mit einem Containerzug in Richtung Bulgarien beobachtet werden. Die Strecke von Nis nach Dimitrovgrad sollte schon seit 2004 elektrifiziert sein, doch es ist leider noch nichts passiert. Für die knapp über 100 Kilometer benötigen Züge oft mehr als 3 Stunden, auch weil es nur wenige Kreuzungsbahnhöfe gibt. Parallel wurde eine neue Autobahn gebaut, welche mittlerweile fertiggestellt sein dürfte und eine enorme Konkurrenz zur Bahn darstellen wird.

On the morning of 09.04.2016 the ZS 661-112 could be observed at Stanicenje with a container train towards Bulgaria. The route from Nis to Dimitrovgrad should have been electrified since 2004, but unfortunately nothing has happened yet. For just over 100 kilometers, trains often take more than 3 hours, also because there are only a few intersection stations. In parallel, a new highway was built, which should now be completed and will represent an enormous competition to the railway.
