The title has nothing to do with how fast the snail thought he was. But more so correlates with the focal length.

Civil War remnants are popular throughout this region and the historic homes and buildings offer a small insight to what it was like during this time period in our nations history.

Effect done in camera by zooming out. The nearest trees are in my garden and photo taken from an upstairs window.
I had just come in from taking insect photos in the garden, and used my zoom on Bart from across the room. He's in a favorite spot, the living room window. I need to take more photos of his sister, Lisa, but she's tricky to shoot.
Using an ICM zoom movement to capture my Nashi Pear Tree in silhouette as the sun rose this morning.
Right now however, we have gentle rain which is most welcome as it brings some cooler weather and needed water. HSoS
A creative approach taken at the enchanted Poplar Tree Farm in Boardman, Oregon which has been sold and is being torn down and being replaced with cow pastures.
I zoomed the lens outward/wider while pressing the shutter for 0.3 seconds, using an ND filter to enable slowing the shutter to help create this effect. Is there a clever name for describing this effect?

Meant to mention......you must be wondering how I came up with this title........well......there is a car advertisement for Mazda....and their favorite expression is "zoom zoom"...........although this looks nothing like a mazda......lol.......it reminded me of a race car helmet...!!
THANK YOU EVERYONE....!!

Here's another view of the male Hooded Merganser when he did a "mini-display" near me for the female who is off screen. He was close-enough that I was able to get some pretty good detail in this shot so feel free to to zoom in. 😊
I found these when going through the archives yesterday. These were taken when we went down the south coast a couple of months back.

Another night photo from my weekend near Mt Maroon. I played around with the zoom lens and this was the best of them.

Many words have entered common parlance in 2020. Coronavirus, pandemic, Covid, lockdown and furlough are some examples but perhaps Zoom is the most surprising. Who would have thought that so many people could actually work from home and still be effective at their jobs? Will this change the office forever? Stay safe everyone!
