After sleeping with the ice pack, I woke up and found myself (to my horror) wet!

Blackberry said it was probably a mix of condensation and the caking of ice on the outside of the ice pack, which had melted during the night. But I didn't care about why-- all I knew was that I was wet and I needed to get dry.

The gang hung me up on the line again, but this time rather than pin me by my ear, they put me on a coat hanger. And rather than wallow in self-pity, I decided to make it into a zipline and have some fun! When the rest of the gang saw how much fun I was having, I noticed that they all started "accidentally" spilling water on themselves so that they could come dry off as well. :)

Dad on Zip-line during Christmas vacation in Akumal Mexico

Yeah. that's my husband, 250 feet in the air. Guess what? I followed him swiftly! Oh, by the way, I am terrified of heights. Yup. But I kicked this adventure's ass. Sometimes it feels very good indeed to do something that scares you.

The Petzl tandem speed pulley was recommendedby both Brian greenstone and my sister, but there wasn't one available locally. To make do in the meantime, I picked up this "heavy duty" block from the local big box store. As you can see, it's completely inadequate for the job. The cheap metal sheave is being worn away by the cable, and if you look closely as you roll it along the cable, you can see the metal filings gently cascading to the ground. At this point, it's been worn into more of a cog that meshes with the cable than a sheave. Not so good for speed and distance.

After my talk at Tawagan Congregation, we drop by at Adventure Cafe to have lunch, but there is also Ziplining.

Now you can see here Maikee riding Ziplining in formal attire.

Flyin' Hawaiian Zipline

After zooming over the Scottish landscape on the zipline, or a good, long hill walk around the forest park you can sit back outside the cafe, get a nice cuppa while taking in the view and breathing the country air.
