Anlässlich des 25-jährigen Bestehens der Ufa-Filmstudios kam 1943 – also Mitten im Zweiten Weltkrieg – der mit grossem Aufwand und Starbesetzung produzierte Farbfilm «Münchhausen» in die Kinos. Er erzählte – wie passend für einen vom Propagandaminister persönlich in Auftrag gegebenen Film - die Lebensgeschichte des bekannten und populären «Lügenbarons» Hieronymus von Münchhausen. Der Film sollte ausdrücklich ein Unterhaltungs- und kein Propagandafilm sein. Das Drehbuch schrieb der eigentlich mit Berufsverbot belegte Schriftsteller Erich Kästner unter Pseudonym. Einige Dialoge enthalten trotz strenger Zensur potentiell subversive Äusserungen. So antwortet Münchhausen seinem Diener Christian, als dieser bei einem Blick auf die Uhr des Barons feststellt, entweder müsse die Uhr kaputt sein, oder die Zeit selber: «Die Zeit ist kaputt, Christian.»
Mehr ist auch heute nicht zu sagen.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Ufa film studios, the color film "Münchhausen," produced at great expense and with a star-studded cast, was released in 1943 - in the middle of World War II. It told the life story of the well-known and popular "Liar Baron" Hieronymus von Münchhausen - as was fitting for a film commissioned by the Minister of Propaganda himself. The film was expressly intended to be an entertainment film and not a propaganda film. The screenplay was written by the writer Erich Kästner, who was actually banned from his profession, under a pseudonym. Despite strict censorship, some dialogues contain potentially subversive statements. For example, Münchausen replies to his servant Christian when the latter, looking at the baron's watch, sais that either the watch must be broken, or time itself: "Time is broken, Christian."

Schwebfliege in Lilie, über die Flickr-Zensur nachdenkend (wird man mich in der eindeutigen Situation anschauen dürfen?)
Mit imposanten 24 Bögen überspannt das Vivat-Viadukt Altenbeken und ist damit nicht nur das Wahrezeichen der Stadt, sondern auch die größte Kalk- und Sandsteinbrücke Europas. Zwei mal täglich in jede Richtung überquert dabei die Mitte-Deutschland-Verbindung das Bauwerk. Am 08.05.2024 hatte 101 110 ,,50 Jahre IC“ den IC2155 am Hacken und konnte in einer Wolkenlücke abgefangen werden.
Bevor Fragen aufkommen: Ja, dieses Foto entstand auf Friedhofsgelände. Jeder muss für sich entscheiden, ob er diese Umsetzung probieren möchte. Ich habe absichtlich mit Hecken und Zensur gearbeitet, um die Privatsphäre der Gräber zu wahren. Es sei jedoch angemerkt, dass ich mich auf einem Zugangsweg befand, an dem keine Gräber lagen.

Since 12 june 2007 users based in Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong or Korea can't turn off their SafeSearch filter. This is effectively censoring flickr.com for users with Yahoo IDs from those countries. More on SafeSearch here: www.flickr.com/help/filters/

From yesterdays preparations for my exhibition "Waterworlds - Wasserwelten" starting May in the Gruntvighaus, Sassnitz - found that in the december file. Think it is little bit better than the already shown ones.
Well the format might be strange with 3:4 bit it has to fit in the frames provided to me.

Btw.: I am very aware my feet look kinda disgusting in this shot - don't worry, I used a PS "Disgusting Feed Action".

again a version of that georgeous sunrise I experienced end of december. Tried to keep the colours in that picture as natural as I could. I still have some problems with the red channel overexposing at sunrise-sunset pictures. Does have anyone have an idea how to avoid this?
Again a picture from January this year. We had have a very icy winter this year - almost unusual.
This pic was taken on the beach of Wustrow, Darss Peninsula.
I used Canon a 17-85 lens, i was testing that time: i was not satisfied. Too many chromatic aberrations (as you can see full size) and strong distortions. A month later I bought a Tokina 12-24, which was a pretty good choice.
Something from today. Stand up at 4 a.m. which was almost too late to catch the best light during twilight (pics will be uploaded soon) - have to go to bed now. 7 hours sleep in two days is also too little for me.
just did a bike trip though the villages around the town I live. Even if the sun wasn´t showing itself it was joy pure.
