This advert for Martech Games was printed in Personal Computer News Issue 30 in 1983. Headline game is Harrier Attack on the Oric-1 and ZX Spectrum. Also listed are Starfighter (Oric-1), Blastermind (ZX Spectrum) and The Quest of Merravid (VIC-20 and CBM-64). Some of these games, such as Harrier Attack, were actually written (and published) by Durell Software. I assume there was some sort of publishing agreement between the two.
The ZX Spectrum, Merkur TV, and Citizen tape drive were on display in part of the museum inside the Bratislava Castle. I have no idea why it was there as there was nothing else like it in the museum. Thanks to Mutantlog for identifying the "artifacts" :)

One of the secondary attractions of Edinburgh that I was looking forward to was the Museum of Childhood, the first of its kind in the world, dating back to 1955. The museum has an excellent collection of toys, clothing, and other items for children from the 19th Century to 2000; as I always like to see different eras' childhoods and how it compares to mine, I truly enjoyed being here.
This ZX Spectrum home computer by Sinclair, dating back to 1986, is typical of the early home computer systems that started appearing in the late 1970s. In the UK, the ZX Spectrum and the BBC Microcomputer System were the two most popular. These computers could be used for writing/running programs or for playing games, and used cassette tapes as storage medium since they were inexpensive and plentiful (though painfully slow).
I wish I had a similar computer back in the day, except that my late father was of the belief that only an IBM-PC was a real computer and everything else was a useless toy for antisocial losers; moreover, his idea of "computer proficiency" was memorising commands for MS-DOS and common office applications like Lotus 1-2-3, not writing programs or tinkering. I certainly missed out a lot! An IBM-PC or compatible would've been an overkill for home use and super expensive in the 1980s, while a toy computer like this would have been within reach of a middle-class household, and the Apple II would have been a bit more expensive but far more versatile.
How strange that a computer I lusted after in my youth is relegated to a museum before I even got to touch it.
The extra plug connects to photo AV sockets on modern TVs, and gives a much better image than using the tuner.

The ZX Spectrum was my very first computer in '85. Here it is on display at the technology museum in Paris, together with steam mills and and horse carriages.

It still works! Now to try and remember how you load files off Microdrive... there's also a mod my eldest brother did for me to get composite video out. That's the cable snaking off at the top. Note the Psion software starter pack - whatever happened to them?!
Arguably the most important part of the ZX Spectrum was the BASIC programming manual which taught a generation of schoolkids something of the fundamentals of coding.
