Deze mooie Zweedse stomer stond tijdens Terug Naar Toen 2010 stoom af te blazen in Beekbergen. Achter zich verschuilt zich een korte goederentrein met onder andere enkele vw's en een andere stomer van de VSM namelijk een BR64.
Terwijl ik op de stoomtrein van de ZLSM stond te wachten, kwam deze Willys Jeep voorbij. Nadat de trein was gepasseerd keerde de oude legerauto terug en vroeg deze zeer aardige meneer of dat ik mee wilde rijden. Dat hoefde hij niet nog een keer vragen.
While I was waiting for the ZLSM steam train, this Willys Jeep came by. After the train had passed the old army car turned back and asked this very nice gentleman if I would like to join the ride. He didn't have to ask that again.
On front the Steam locomotive "SJ E2 1040" (Est. 1910), build by Nydqvist & Holm. This is one of the operational historical steamtrains of the ZSLM running on a track called "Miljoenenlijn". A very impressive machine to see and a lucky view at the railwaysstation or in the regional landscape.

Stoomtrein van de ZLSM als kerstexpres onderweg van Valkenburg richting Simpelveld, 4 december 2010.
Dit jaar kwamen bij de ZLSM twee diesellocs serie 2200 en twee zadeltank stoomlocs in actie tijdens de Stoomdagen. alle reden om naar het zuiden af te reizen en te genieten van wat geboden werd. We hadden schitterend weer. Het was weer geslaagd.
This year two diesel locomotives class 2200 and two saddle tanks steam locomotives came into action at the ZLSM during their annual Steam Days . All the more reason to travel to the South and enjoy what had been offered. The weather was great and again it was a successful event.
Stadler GTW DMU leaving Wijlre on the ZLSM steam railway. The DMU was on the NVBS Koningsdagrit 2014 tour and did a run past for the photographers.
The tour ran from Roermond to Born, Maastricht and the ZLSM steam railway with two Stadler GTW DMUs.
De oorsprong van de Miljoenenlijn voert terug naar begin jaren twintig van de vorige eeuw. Dan wordt voor meer dan één miljoen gulden per kilometer, een spoorverbinding tussen Kerkrade en Simpelveld aangelegd, die aansluiting geeft op het kolenspoor van de Aachen-Maastrichter Eisenbahn en de rest van Nederland.
