ZiL 131 6x6 Ex Military Truck from 1980 OPP 886V
Seen at the 2022 Kettering Vintage Rally & Steam Fayre
Quite an interesting looking Russian truck, and also my first ZIL, though sadly not one of the famous limousines! They're still in production today but judging by the older style plate this one is fairly early
Earlier this year, while I was building my Ural military transport truck, I came across some pictures of older Russian (Soviet) pumper trucks on the net. I really liked how they looked - very different from most Western fire engines - and I pretty much knew I had to try and build one someday.
Found this really old, but still in use Zil truck. Its back from soviet times, and looks pretty dope on film.
Shot on point & shoot Minolta RivaZoom 90. Sadly it seems to have missed the focus slightly.
Model from the late 70's, early 80's. About 50 were built annually.
