“Interviewer: 'So Frank, you have long hair. Does that make you a woman?'
Frank Zappa: 'You have a wooden leg. Does that make you a table?”
Quote: Frank Zappa
I come from nowhere
And you should go there
Just try it for a while
The people from nowhere
Always smile
Their eyes are all frozen over
The sides of their faces pooch out at the corners
Because that's what happens when their mouths turn up
On both sides
Which is why we can tell they're smiling
They never frown
They never let their eyebrows turn down
They like going around with their teeth showing
All the time
They are from nowhere
Your teeth are showing
So maybe you been there
You could have the disease of nowhere people
Where the air gets stuck all over their gums
When their nowhere lips roll back
For real excitement
They stand still
They shut up
Then they don't do nothing

She was my 'secret' dolly, thankyou lovely Amanda for letting me adopt her and Gina for sprucing her up! You two are complete dolls <3
Love this dress set too Melissa, thankyou! It is of course for Curiousity but she wanted Zappa to have the honors, I dont think she approves though? I think its much too sweet for this little rebel ;)

Not the shot I originally intended. But the moment I saw the picture in LR I immediately thought of 'The He-Man Woman Haters Club' from Little Rascals. SO Here are my little camera haters.
They would also like to add that "that black box sucks eggs"... Unruly little furballs

This video is the answer to how they keep Basil in line...

I had this vision in my head that came to me late on Friday night - this is isn't it. I was listening to a Phish song and said to myself "Self this is the perfect answer to the group challenge" Sadly I didn't have time to do it, so I'm not telling you what its is just yet as I plan to use it later on in the project... I was hoping this would be a bit more "Snoopy- Red Baron-esque" But it was freezing cold and windy. But I do love the end result. I wanted the rust red of the metal tunnel to really pop so I desaturated my scarf as it is red and purple flannel. She didn't feel the need to read the newspaper at her feet apparently.
Frank Vincent Zappa (December 21, 1940 – December 4, 1993) was an American composer, singer-songwriter, guitarist, recording engineer, music producer and film director. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Zappa composed rock, jazz, orchestral and musique concrète works. He also directed feature-length films and music videos, and designed album covers. Zappa produced almost all of the more than 60 albums he released with the band The Mothers of Invention and as a solo artist.

The Build :
When i first saw Iain Heath 's video where he shows how he works on Bilbo, i was surprised to see all the differents steps he had to do before produce the figure itself. I must say, i'm a huge fan of Iain work, and this video was kind of a masterclass for me.
I'm not very skilled in building Lego, but i did would try to build a character based on Iain method.
Well, here it is. It took me 3 weeks, and its certainly not perfect as Iain (especialy the connections of the arms and the arms themselves), but for a first attempt, i must say i'm quite pleased with the result. I rebuilt the body several times to fit the scale.
I worked on Frank's guitar before building Frank himself and it was a big mistake. The scale wasn't not the same at all. I had to rebuild the guitar and i'm not really satisfied with it, but i think i can't do better for now.
All this to say it was a really good and enjoyable experience. It was my first and i hope there are more to come ! I already have some ideas....
A big thanks to Iain Heath alias Ochre Jelly for posting his work video, and for bulding such excellent characters build.
