I have shot similar compositions before on Camel Hump Hill, I wanted to try out this lens and using my video lamp for lighting the foreground. The problem with a 50mm lens is despite quite a distance between the camera and subject, when focused on the stars the foreground isn't sharply focused. I guess I should do a Sky Replacement but that's not really my style! My knees remind me that I'm not as young as when I started climbing this hill years ago! Single shot, 1 video lamp for extra lighting. Near Hawker, SA.

Mais qu'est-ce que j'ai fait d'autre que d'arriver....?

the SEO or shorty is a winter visitor to the lower 48. They pretty much replace the harrier for the night shift over grasslands. Like harriers they can be found in the Americas, Europe, North Africa, and Asia. It will fly in the daytime where voles are active.

A windy night under clear skies, The Woolshed at Kanyaka Ruins south of Hawker, SA. I have photographed this composition a few times before but had some different ideas for lighting that I wanted to try. This is a 4 shot vertical panorama, Nikon Z9, Sigma Art 28mm, lighting using the torch I am holding, 1 external flash and 1 video light. Stitched and processed in Photoshop
