However, when the Voxyn are introduced into his brigade as a tool to track down the Jedi it is discovered that he is strongly Force-Sensitive and is charged with being a spy. For years he is held as prisoner where he is tortured by AI’ TANNA YUNANI, a sadistic Yuuzhan Vong cleric, who feeds telepathically off his pain. With the fall of Yuuzhan’tar in 29-ABY he is rescued and spends the next couple of years helping to revitalize the urban flora of Coruscant. Yet, in 32-ABY, when Yunani begins reaching out to him through his mind to share the suffering of new victims, Aamaw is forced to go out and hunt him down. His missions are funded by SENNA DOCUSOD, a notorious loan shark, who lives just above the Underground in Galactic City on Coruscant. She is not directly affiliated with any specific crime syndicate, but rest assured they all owe her money. On Baffor Aamaw’s pursuit to hunt down Yunani, Docusod has him also collecting on old debts and hunting down pirates who have run off with shipments she has invested in. He is not always happy with this arrangement, but he too is in her debt.

Chakoda's Back Story

In 7-BBY, 9 year-old CHAKODA is befriended by EJAR BOLAJUUV, a Sullustan mechanic who specializes in maintaining ships of smugglers and Alliance sympathizers who come in and out of the Mos Eisley Spaceport. Chakoda’s small size is perfect for getting into cramp places and he becomes his skilled apprentice. However, after he inadvertently gets Ejar’s brother killed by the Hutts in 1-ABY, Chakoda joins the GAL GANZA as an exotic exhibit in the traveling interplanetary circus. There he becomes the mechanic of the CARAVAN and caretaker of the more undomesticated creatures; where he eventually bonds with a Rancor that is poorly mistreated. In 8-ABY, when the CARAVAN is forced to land on Jakku, Chadkoda decides to release the Rancor into the wild, which results in him having to abandon the circus that he loved. Jakku, the Graveyard of the Giants, turns out to be a treasure-trove of riches for the scavenging Jawa when he sells a stock pile of Blas Tech E-11 Blaster Rifles to a arms dealer. In the following years Chakoda becomes a skilled marksman and quite adept in making makeshift boobytraps as he defends his stash of goods. However, in 16-ABY, after his beloved Rancor is killed trying to protect him, he buries a large sum of credits in the ground and joins a crew of smugglers as one of their hired guns. During the Yuuzhan war, the gang gets conscripted to run supplies for the New Republic, and in 27-ABY they take on a coffin of a dead soldier. However, when SENNA DOCUSOC, a notorious loan shark who also specializes in hard to get items, puts a hefty bounty on the safe return of the coffin to her, the ship is bombarded by a slew of independent Bounty Hunters and Pirates. When the dust clears, the only one left standing is Chakoda, who discovers that the soldier in the coffin is wearing the dog tags of COGIC RAGNAR. Immediately appreciating its value, he takes the coffin straight to Yuuzhan’tar and delivers it in person to Docusoc. Thankful for the safe return of her nephew's body and impressed by the little Jawa’s ability to handle himself in shootout, Docusoc pays Chakoda twice the bounty for the delivery of the coffin before offering him a job in her extensive operations.

A planet I'd like to see in the series, Zonama Sekot. It's come with a Yuuzhan Vong warrior in Vonduun crab armour wielding an amphistaff, and the micro-vehicle would be a coralskipper. This was a fun little MOC, and I got to practice my lighting and editing skills.

Launch bay doors open, and Devana looks out into the glare of battle.

The Yuuzhan Vong—"Children of Yun-Yuuzhan," also called the Chosen Race and known as the Far Outsiders to the Chiss and Ferroans, was a nomadic extragalactic sentient species that in Mid-20s ABy invaded the Star War Galaxy and nearly destroyed the New Republic, and were responsible for the deaths of basically 300 trillion sentient beings.

By the time of the Yuuzhan Vong War, New Republic troopers wore a white body armor similar to the armor worn by stormtroopers; however, this armor did not cover the entire body. Underneath they wore light blue uniforms. Their helmets had orange tinted transparent visors that could seal the helmet.

Best. Costume. There! Ok, maybe not the best but this Yuuzhan Vong warrior is very up there with some stellar costumes. He said he built the Vonduun Crab armor completely from styrofoam and other materials and painted them black, as well as building the mask from scratch.

4.3.22 Sculpt update on Spraug, 1:18 scaled figure from the Dark Horse comic series Invasion. Added this guy back to the workbench to give it a little TLC and bring the project up to date, however the current 3 figures I've been working on will get the most of my attention.

Character recap - Spraug is a Vratix criminal on Nar Shaddaa during the Yuuzhan Vong war (Expanded Universe or Disney's Legends)....and that's about it. So suffice to say the character's back story wasn't the fuel that inspired me to sculpt a figure of him.

What inspired me is the design, the species and the challenge to produce a figure that isn't humanoid within the Star Wars universe.

The frame is a combination of two figures...An Original Trilogy Collection Chewbacca (two of them) and a Vintage Collection General Grevious (before the figure became so $$$). When this figure's frame was built, the Vintage Collection value was nominal. Nowhere NEAR the prices you see today. The figures were fodder.

I actually lost one of Spraug's antennae while the figure was shelved so I'm building a new one using a wire armature. This will also be used to sculpt the spindly fingers of the insectoid.

Really love sculpting the body's segmentation. The thick lower section or (tail) you see will be filed down and replaced with segmented detail. It's articulated at its base but will be used primarily for stabilization purposes.

Hope you enjoy the new shots. More updates coming! Thanks for all the comments and support! ❤ #starwars #spraug #darkhorsecomics #aliens #invasion #YuuzhanVong #expandeduniverse #sculpture #customactionfigure #actionfigures #avesclay #miniature

While on his way to meet up with Jan Ors, a Yuuzhan Vong surprised Kyle Katarn. He quickly drew his lightsaber to engage in battle.

Updated image of my 1:18 scale New Republic Shock Trooper team as seen in the pages of the Dark Times Star Wars comic series, Invasion.

I brought these guys out to update their shoulder and elbow padding with new banding since the original banding had degraded over time.

Also wanting to add additional head sculpt options for each trooper. One with the clear visor down simulating an airtight seal for troops to fight in different atmospheric conditions. As second head sculpt featuring a removable helmet.

I want to complete this team in 2025. I have several Yuuzhan Vong planned to add to my original Vong trooper. The Shock Troopers need someone to fight!

Thanks for looking! More project updates to come through the week...
