The 21st annual Charles Dickens Festival
The Dickens Festival is a celebration of the author of A Christmas Carol, featuring the Village of Port Jefferson magically transformed into the Dickensian era with streets filled with roaming characters such as Father Christmas, Dickens Mayor, Scrooge, the Town Crier and the beloved chimney sweeps.
The 21st Annual Dickens Festival concludes with a Parade of Puppets and ceremony at Village Hall on Sunday evening.
Charles John Huffam Dickens an English writer and social critic born in 1812 in Landport, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England, regarded as the greatest novelist of the Victorian period, Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol in 1843.

I've been cleaning my studio like a crazy lady most of yesterday and today. I cannot express just how excited I am with how much more awesome my drawing area is now.
I realized a few days ago that I'm still living like a college student/kid - I do most of my living in a single room, which is my studio/office (opposite problem of many creators, who have to create in their living spaces). I'm trying to decompress - within the studio/office I've separated the areas where I do officey things and areas where I do arting type things. I'm also trying to clear out anything that is not directly related to either of those categories.
Will post more photos when I've finished cleaning/organizing, I hope.

Our christmas tree for 2008-2009 winter season - we usually put it up within two to three days of Christmas and keep it up often through the end of January. If you keep it watered after you first put it in the stand, and add an occasional teaspoon of sugar, it will stay fresh for over a month. This is also our second year of all-LED lights with over 30 years of collected ornaments - going back to Katherine and my's first tree in Houston in 1975, with our first bought ornaments.
