Taken for the Grove Art Centre photo club, theme this week is 'play with light and dark'.
Photo location is the very lovely Frogmore which is lit beautifully by the shared environment. It is sweet, colourful, wild and feels like a warm hug. I couldn't use it for this shot but it's definitely worth seeing for yourself.

I think 2025 has really shown so many of us that the world is really changing, and any control we might have thought we had, we don't.
With elections, tariffs, racism from Black artists screaming about the Jewish population.. to family issues, job loss, work issues, kid issues, parent issues... terminal diseases, or just disease.
So many are suffering. If you have a chance to simply be kind in the program, Please do it.
You have no idea what someone might be facing in their reality, and they may just need a Hey, Hi, or even a forgiving someone, and withdrawing from drama.
Anything to help people enjoy their time away from a very complicated real world who make a difference.
Life sadly isn't black and white.. it has vibrance.. just like my eyes in this picture.
She stares across the bleak horizon, turns, spreads her arms wide and wonders if the wind will just pick her up and take her away. What would it feel like to just let go?

Cute story that goes with this image. My husband, 5 year old daughter and I went to a car show yesterday where they happened to be passing out balloons. They asked her which balloon she wanted and she said the pink one and she wanted writing on it. The lady asked her what she wanted it to say and she surprised us by answering "believe". I asked her if she wanted me to add a flower or heart and she said no add "in yourself". My heart just filled with pride and love for my girl, what a wonderful message she shared with everyone who saw her balloon. I had hoped to get a shot with it in the air but the helium escaped over night so we have a deflated subject.
