That'd be harvest # 3 this year! Flat, long green beans (they taste like normal green beans) can also be left to dry on the vine and cooked like the Romano beans you find dried in bags at the store.

In dim light it can at first seem as if nothing were there. Almost nothing. plain, oblong boxes hang on the wall. They hardly offer any purchase for the searching eye; only from three rectangular gashes does a delicate light glimmer. Not till you approach the works far enough to look inside the boxes do you see something unexpected. You peer into a long, white room filled with indirect lighting and are surprised how wide the boxes open up inside. While looking in, you also find it amazing how yourown bodily perception changes. Whereas your body comes to a standstill because of the small openings, your mind begins to wander with your eyes.
Both - eyes and mind - become the means of movement, immaterial vehicles with which we can explore a stage that is set inside a box modulated by light and shadow. The restriction of, and concentration on, only a few senses sharpens our perception and stimulates our imagination. Our gaze fixates critically on any resistance, savors the finest color nuances of light and shadow, fingers the materiality of the untouchable spatial depth. The longer and deeper your perception penetrates into this restricted art space, the feebler is your feeling for your own dimensions, time and space.
Despite, or expressly because of, their formal reduction, Jürgen Albrecht's miniature architectures have the potential of a catalyst. In them our consciousness consolidates, as a number of - not only agreeable - perceptions, sensations and associations unfold. Just as light, from somewhere or other, seems to blaze its way into these rooms, so does the viewer bring his/her input. Albrecht's interior worlds may seem white, spare, still and empty, but anyone looking long enough into them can discover an entire universe.
