After Canadian National took over the Wisconsin Central, there were a frw years when varied consists were an everyday thing.

Nearing Aptakisic Road in Buffalo Grove, a short CN northbound had a trio of variety.

Trailing Wisconsin Central SD45 7502 was Duluth Winnepeg and Pacific SD40 5908 and a CN grey cinderblock SD40.

The consist was set up from best to worst.

Buona serata

Decided to pay a visit to my unedited photos from years ago. Here we find Amtrak's 353 and 30 meeting each other at Pine at sunset, while a train passes overhead on the former EJ&E.

60096 rounds the curve over Gauxholme Viaduct working the 6E09 07:55 Liverpool Biomass TML GBRF to Drax AES GBRF.

Ironically the only other time I've visited this area was March 2020 just before the 1st covid lockdown. The image I took that day is remarkably similar despite not looking at it for around 2 1/2 years.

3 years later ..same spot.. same bike! What a wonderful feeling!

Happy New Years to everyone!

My uncle was in the Navy. I didn't take the photo.

This is Davinci, one of my daughter's cats. Unfortunately, his incurable disease broke out in autumn 2019, and on 19 September he was reunited with his dear friend Perseus in cat heaven!

"A Thousand Years"

Last year and this year are combined as if they are pierced by a pole, according to a Haiku, a short Japanese poem by Kyoshi Takahama (1874-1959).

I love taking pictures of architecture with abstract elements.

On one day while strolling around Shinjuku, I found this office building and couldn't resist taking 43 photos of it.

The main subject of the photo is the illuminated object that looks like a futuristic spaceship or space station.

For me, this photo represents the proof of our tiny but precious daily life amidst the vast universe.

It's an absurd story that no one in the busy downtown district of Tokyo might talk about, but it's what makes me unique.

I enjoy capturing the abstract features of architecture and expanding my imagination through photography.

A Happy New Year to everyone!

Thank you for taking the time to view, comment on, and favourite my photo.

Now there are almost no burnt marks in the rice fields.

Given human facial hair grows around .4mm per day, this is likely over 8 years of mustache.

In Rajasthan, long mustaches are a symbol of pride, masculinity, and cultural heritage. They represent valor and honor, historically associated with the Rajput warriors who sported them as a sign of their bravery. The fascination with long mustaches continues today, celebrated as part of Rajasthan's vibrant identity. Mustache contests are a popular feature in local fairs and festivals, where men showcase their impressive facial hair. These contests are judged on the length, thickness, and overall grooming of the mustaches.

I have loved you

For a thousand years

I'll love you for a thousand more

And all along I believed I would find you

Time has brought your heart to me

"Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

As we enter into those Golden years together, we have set goals that we both strive for in retirement. These past two weeks some of those dreams have begun with a short camping trip together in quiet spots where we met very little people. It was wonderful to know we enjoyed each other's company enough to not miss having others around. We shared similar passions and talked about simple plans going forward. It was an amazing time away.

I was exactly here... watching the sun painting in red the Majestic rocks of the great natural parks in West USA.

Due anni fa

Ero esattamente qui... guardando il sole dipingere di rosso le maestose rocce dei grandi parchi dell'Ovest americano..

IC #1000 leads L536 past Kensington Tower after a round of thunderstorms.

25 years ago today (10/7), IC #1000 made its debut appearance at the Woodcrest Shops in Homewood, Illinois. It was the first of 40 brand-new EMD SD70s delivered to the Illinois Central in 1995 and 1999 and the railroad's first brand-new motive power since the ICG picked up four SD40-2s in 1975.

Royal Air Force Lockheed Hercules C.1 XV221 taxis to display during the 1976 Biggin Hill 'Battle of Britain' Airshow

Delivered new in the mid 1960's, 221 was then still painted in her original sand and dark earth camo with black undersides but without the earlier white cockpit roof. Later she would be painted grey/green camo with light grey undersides and then just green overall and then probably grey. During this time she was 'stretched' as a C.3 and finally after nearly 50 years of service, withdrawn from use in November 2013, ending her days at Hixon where she was broken up
