Whenever I fly I always like getting a window seat because flying above the clouds and cities is really neat to me. This time when I flew I put my camera in my backpack that I put under my seat so I could take some pictures during my late afternoon flight.

Dandelion / Pissenlit (``Taraxacum``)
Small *yellow-headed wildflower* -- or WEED -- distributed in fields and lawns globally, bane of farmers & gardeners everywhere...
But... favorable growing conditions throughout the North American Great Lakes region during a long, temperate `warming-up` (Spring) of 2012 produced a truly *bumper-crop* of DANDELION flowers throughout southern and eastern Ontario -- in field & town alike!
In their billions... and trillions ... they shone in glory.
This year, the humble *dandelion/pissenlit* added a true presence of its own throughout that gentle, agrarian landscape -- an exuberant carpet of color, that shrill, bright, optimistic yellow of early summer.
It was almost like witnessing the colors of Giverney itself! and the hope of good crops to come...
