Jelly wanted to say "THANK YOU" so much to Tricia for our new dress. This is my first Henriette Jardin dress and I am so happy to finally have one. They are so soft and beautiful. I really want this dress in my size! lol.

You have to admire the music these two spar to, and this is why Ducu is staying, his choice in music. Er, no. The way he and Tealeaf get on.

Out of things to do, I decided to touch up an old thank-you note that was given to my group after we spent a week living and working besides once homeless men. Spending a week at The Bowery Mission in Manhattan NYC was one of the best 5 days of my college life.
I used GIMP to outline the letters and made the whole image more "user friendly" in case anyone wanted to use a graffiti style thank-you :-). (Here's the original... and the inside) Cheers!

I spent the morning in Philly seeing Obama for the first time. If you have the chance, take it. He is a highly charismatic person and eloquent speaker. I also agree with many of his plans for getting this country back on track.
Spent the afternoon as a volunteer for his campaign, canvasing Democrats in Pennsylvania to get out the vote on Tuesday (my first political activism ever).
This is my also my first attempt to capture photos in more challenging circumstances: from a distance, a crowd of jostling people around me and between me and my subject. My aim when holding the camera over my head is poor! I probably should have gone higher ISO speeds and smaller apetures, the photos aren't as crisp as one would like. All in all I'm a bit disappointed in the results. Practice makes perfect...
On Barack's Flickr site he mentions the bach cello suites as some of his favorite music. No wonder I like him. He does not mention NIna Hagen, though ;)

While photographing the street preachers this pie-eyed gentleman came strolling by screaming something about “get the fuck off my beach” and similar phrases. At one point he yelled at me to “get your bastards out of here”. I explained to him I was my own bastard and had nothing to do with the street preachers being on his beach. As his anger escalated he started pointing and screaming at me, so I just had to go in for the shot.

FREE DOLLS, you say? I started my MAWPHOTO account on Flickr in 2005 and have been lucky to connect with 1,985 Flickr friends. However, I only just launched www.MyLifeInPlastic.com this year, on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Pinterest, and as you can see from these numbers listed below, my followers/likes/friends on THOSE accounts are dismally low.
