Being a yoga enthusiast you may be well aware of the fact that yoga teacher training is quite popular these days. While for some it’s an opportunity to spread the word of yoga around the world but for some, it’s only a mean to deepen the practice.

obvious long exposure in a rather generic yoga room. only light is those windows, so I used a long exposure, plus flash, to flood the room and get some movement, and since these were actual students in a class - it helped hide their identities...

One day, you wake up and you break boundaries in yoga....and you wonder what on earth you did to get there right in that moment. Hours and hours of practice, that's what! You've been doing something small all along that has built up to it.
If you want to see me get into this pose, watch the mini video clip.

YOGA
Yoga (/ˈjoʊɡə/; Sanskrit: योग, Listen) is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice or discipline, that aims to transform body and mind. The term denotes a variety of schools, practices and goals[1] in Hinduism, Buddhism (including Vajrayana and Tibetan Buddhism[2][3][4]) and Jainism,[5][6][7][6] the best-known being Hatha yoga and Raja yoga.
The origins of Yoga have been speculated to date back to pre-vedic Indian traditions, but most likely developed around the sixth and fifth centuries BCE, in the same ascetic circles as the early sramana movements.[8][note 1] The earliest accounts of yoga-practices are in the Buddhist Nikayas.[9] Parallel developments were recorded around 400 CE in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali,[10] which combines pre–philosophical speculations and diverse ascetic practices of the first millennium BCE with Samkhya-philosophy. Hatha yoga emerged from tantra by the turn of the first millennium.[11][12]
Yoga gurus from India later introduced yoga to the west,[13] following the success of Swami Vivekananda in the late 19th and early 20th century.[13] In the 1980s, yoga became popular as a system of physical exercise across the Western world. This form of yoga is often called Hatha yoga.
Yoga physiology described humans as existing of three bodies (physical, subtle and causal) and five sheets (food sheet, prana-breath, mind sheet, intellect, and bliss)[14] which cover the atman, and energy flowing through energy channels and concentrated in chakras.
Many studies have tried to determine the effectiveness of yoga as a complementary intervention for cancer, schizophrenia, asthma, and heart disease.
Hervey bay/ˈhɑrvi ˈbeɪ/ is a city in Queensland, Australia. The city is situated approximately 290 kilometres (180 mi) or 3½ hours highway drive north of the state capital, Brisbane. It is a natural bay between the Queensland mainland and nearby Fraser Island. The local economy relies on tourism which is based primarily around whale watching in Platypus Bay to the North, access to Fraser Island, accessible recreational fishing and boating and the natural north facing, calm beaches with wide undeveloped foreshore zones.
At the 2011 Australian Census the city recorded a population of 76,403.[1] Hervey Bay is an area of high population growth...
Climate
Hervey Bay has a mild climate with an average 30 °C (86 °F) in summer and 22 °C (72 °F) in winter. The coast is predominantly affected by the south east trade winds throughout the summer with occasional strong northerly winds and storm swells. These winds keep the temperatures down in summer and up in winter, preventing temperature extremes. As a result, Hervey Bay rarely experiences temperatures over 35 °C (95 °F) in summer or under 5 °C (41 °F) in winter.
Cyclones are a threat at times with Cyclone Hamish threatening in 2009 as a Category 5. The land mass of Fraser Island significantly affects the pattern of weather in Hervey Bay and protects the immediate marine environment from open ocean storm effects. Cyclone Oswald in 2013 caused significant damage in the area, mainly as a result of tornadoes spawned by the system. The average rainfall for the year is around 1,100 millimetres (43 in). December to March is the main rainy period, with a secondary peak in May and June. The months of April and from July to November are generally dry and sunny.
Whale watching
Hervey Bay is the whale watching capital of Australia, with humpback whales migrating along the coast between April and October every year. Researchers at the Oceania Project conducted a 14 year study which found the bay was an important social hub for humpback whales.[15] Whale number have increased from about 2,000 in 1992, to around 7,000 in 2005.[15] Hervey Bay is the resting place for Humpback whales, Mum's and Calves, they come to the Bay to rest and build up energy for their long travels back to Antarctica. The Adults come to play, socialise and there have been heat runs observed in the Bay. The Humpback Whales are known to be very relaxed in the company of the whale watching vessels.
I had a wonderful experience to have this candid shot of Sarah. I introduced myself after taking this photo of her when she posed for her friends.
I wished i had braved enough to ask her for couple more yoga poses at this location.
Thanks Sarah.

Kids yoga for the witching hour! youtu.be/OGmaP6jhLyw Kids yoga for the witching hour! The witching hour is that time of the day when the everyone's feeling a little tired, or maybe a little grumpy after a long day and are prone to acting out. Well here's the perfect anecdote! In this kid's yoga video, LA based teacher Annie Marks leads kid's though a 5 minute sweet & fun yoga practice to help breathe, relax, and get present. Excellent for kid's of all ages! About Annie Marks: To say that yoga saved her life is somewhat of an understatement. Annie found yoga when she first moved to Los Angeles in 2002. As with most early practitioners, it was in addition to a regular workout routine. After years of battling with an eating disorder Annie lost all mind-body connection. While in a recovery program, during which she was only permitted to practice a restorative form of yoga, Annie met a few amazing yoga teachers, who helped her through her recovery. In 2011, she completed her 200 hour certification in hatha yoga at Liberation Yoga in Los Angeles. Annie continues her studies with Will Duprey as she works towards her 300 hour RYT (yoga alliance certified). She is certified to teach children, tween, and teen yoga, as well. When she's not teaching or practicing yoga, Annie teaches pre-kindergarten to 22 exuberant 4 year olds! Annie's classes draw upon the freedom of vinyasa flow as it purposefully connects the breath to each movement, with a sense of a lyrical dance.
