But I am sure that spring will come this year too.

Yet another view of this quarter. The Schnoor quarter is the oldest documented quarter of Bremen and it has largely preserved its medieval character.

First mentioned in the 13th century. The two oldest remaining buildings are from 1401 and 1402 respectively.

The most photographed building in Australia. Unfortunately I wasn’t in the Hyatt enjoying this view but outside getting a little damp.

Steel-blue Sawfly (Perga dorsalis)

One that is definitely in range here in Melbourne, I have just never seen one before.

Sawflies are insects related to wasps, but they lack the typical narrow 'waist' of wasps.

Terror in our world. Why???

“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”

The wild garlic is not yet in bloom, but sometimes an acceptable picture results even from a location check

In the tunnel of the Rappbodetalsperre / Germany. A man comes out of the darkness and goes towards the light at the end of the tunnel. His body appears as a silhouette in the light at the end of the tunnel. Abstract street photography in black and white.

Going through yet another slow order, RUPO is seen passing the switch at Den behind a trio of GP40s at a blistering 10 mph. This switch was previously known as Fairgrounds East, but was renamed to Den as part of general renaming of several sidings on the old Maine Central.

"I'd rather be a lover than a fighter, 'cause all my life i've been fighting.

Never felt a feeling of comfort, all this time I've been hiding.

I'm in need of a savior, but i'm not asking for favors, my whole life i've felt like a burden... I think so much and i hate it..

I'm tired of caring..."

Taken in Green Story

It has been a long time to not see you. Around seven years and you came to my life again. Still want to carry me with you?

You took my life and happiness during the days it supposed to be happy. Now why you're back?

Thanks for rememberme the nightmare of being in the hole.

I can just give you three of my days but not all me...not yet.

A much darker edit than my previous mono edit... an unposed portrait.

A beggar shot on the streets of Bath. Bath is such a rich city as English cities go and yet still there is this pain and suffering.... this poor man's anguish was evident in his eyes.

Yet another daylight long exposure landscape shoot - I am quickly becoming addicted to daylight long exposure! Manual mode same as last to get more experience. I chose f/16 to allow for the exposure time I wanted (15-20 secs)

Thanks again to Adam and his Landscape Masterclass at First Man Photography - without that I really wouldn't have considered going manual and not even gotten the shot because going through that masterclass has made me rethink how I shoot landscapes. I am still learning; I still struggle when looking for interesting subjects and also the composition. Also, ISO, aperture and shutterspeed is something I still need to incorporate into my workflow for each shot because I tend to forget checking and setting them. Heh.

Yet another re-edit, this tie starting from a re-combination of the different filters with more emphasis on the Ha filter as the luminance for more of the Ha nebulosity and smaller stars.

Antwerpen Handel .

Does 2020 suck shit? Yeah, but at least we still have some decent stuff running around on CSX. A quartet of EMDs provide the muscle for this evenings Q350 as it rolls up the Toledo Sub, passing the B&O bracket at South Ottawa.

Rosignano, Tuscany - Italy

Taken on my cell phone this morning.

This photo was taken on our last night in Maui. It is taken at a little park behind Front St. in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. The image perfectly captures my mood... the reality of going home and yet caught up in the surreal beauty of this place. Aloha Maui... Maholo nui loa.

Met another Flickr photographer this evening.

Yet another flower bokeh. Taken with Auto Chinon 55mm f1.4. Another one of the oldies I like to work with. Designed, if not made, by Tomioka.

Sunrise from Crystal Pier in Wrightsville Beach. Turned out to be gorgeous!!

This was yet another house left abandoned. I was able to enter this one from the front door. As I approached the porch I could see some belongings of the prior owner. Toys laid faded yet intact with remnants of clothing scattered about. The inside painted a scene of one final Christmas. The family Christmas tree dried up and fallen over inches from where it once stood. On a rather distressed coffee table stood a red vase with artificial flowers as though never disturbed. A torn couch was moved into the dining room as if the new arrangements were better form those currently taking up shelter. I was not able to venture further, as my co-worker/driver felt uneasy. The pondering questions still remain, where did they go, why did they go. How many more shattered lives will be claimed....

yet another red Aster.

How can I resist them, so vibrant, pure eye candy.
