This monday a Fokker 100 was expected at EHLE - SATYS was expecting a new client for its paint plant.

The Fokker 100 from Avanti Air with registration D-AOLH arrived in the afternoon from Saarbrücken (EDDR) - it had still the livery of its former employer - BekAir from Kazachstan.

The old registration UP-F1015 was still visible under a sticker on right motor off the aircraft.

On the photo the F100 has arrived at the paint plant and was nicely lit by a late afternoon sun.

Y100 WCM is a Volvo B8R/Plaxtn Elite new to Craig, Campbeltown in October 2021 as their number 12100.

It was one of a pair delivered that was originally ordered by Logan, Dunloy. Park's of Hamilton took the other 8. It is seen here on Great Western Road in Glasgow operating Scottish Citylink service 975 (Glasgow-Oban).

Hang on, what’s this?! Well it’s EA69 DMT, the Enviro 400 MMC formerly of DM Transport Photos’ own model fleet DM Transport. And would you believe they delivered it to Robertson Buses fully decked out in RB livery! Well it certainly saves it from being stuck in the never-ending repaint queue and can get right to work. All I’ve really done is a bit of minor detailing and filling in.

In typical RB rush-job fashion it’s been pressed into use without fleet names or numbers, plus still claiming to be on loan to DM Transport above a destination blind that technically should be white LEDs, not orange. My excuse is it’s a temporary front blind until a fault is corrected with its usual white one. However the interior has had a partial repaint, with the bars now lime green and the floor grey.

Considering I usually complain about various operators buying Enviro 400 MMCs it’s ironic I’ve now got one in my model fleet. However it is by far the most modern double decker I’ve got and will make for a great dual purpose vehicle that can go on public services and private hire. Plus it’s a bit more unusual in being a short wheelbase variant (I think around 10.4/10.5m IRL? – MMC lengths are very poorly documented online)

Although not displayed yet the number is 61, as I decided to begin a new series of double deck numbering. The rules as to how deckers get numbered is a bit loose as it’s sort of by type but sort of by age, e.g. 25-31 is all Volvo and Dennis from around the noughties, 50-55 a mix of Scania and/or Olympus from the Euro 4 and 5 era, while 7, 8 and 16 are all outliers. And 99. So instead of trying to shoehorn it into an existing bracket, the MMC starts over at 61. What the rest of the 60-series gets used for depends on what I might ever get to fill it!

61 is the fourth former DM Transport bus to enter the fleet after Gemini 28 (EA56 DMT), Dart 106 (Y100 DMT) and Mini Pointer Dart 23 (EA06 DMT). 28 and 106 reverted to their original registration numbers at RB – with 23 reregistered when it was converted to electric – but since EA69 DMT was new to DM Transport, that *is* its original registration and will therefore be keeping it. The four of them will have to be posed together at some point for a reunion.
