Finally, after a long time, we got it under a beautiful sun. Here is « Nippon 215 » taxiing to its stand Y03 via Alpha loop.
"All Nippon 215" reaching its stand Y03 for its second visit in CDG. Arrived a little bit too late to get decent rays of light but it's okay to me actually. [ANA215]
No, it's not an artificial painterly effect. It's just the poor resolution of old lens (additionally I suspect the focusing axis be warped) and ultra-high ISO. Anyway glad it seems achieved what nice lenses rarely could.

The original Kushimoto plane was a DC-10 in this livery, and it was named after the Kushimoto village in Wakayama prefecture (Japan), where part of the Turkish crew of the ErtuÄŸrul frigate in 1890 were saved. This accident created a general sympathy in Japan for Turkish people and led to the establishment of a strong basis for which friendship between Turkey and Japan was to later flourish...
In 1985 the DC-10 was deployed to rescue 215 Japanese passengers stranded in Tehran during an aviation blockade of the Iran-Iraq war.
TC-JNC took part in commemorations 30 years after the flight and 125 years after the ErtuÄŸrul shipwreck.
