Always nice to spot a Skoda from the days before they were an established brand. This example has been off the road since at least 2005, however, the current owner acquired the car in 2011. I’d imagine that they bought it as a restoration project but haven’t got round to completing it! Apart from the evident surface rust on the roof, it looked to be in good condition considering how long it has been off the road for. I reckon that the owner washes it from time to time.

The first Rover 200 SD3 I have spotted out of a show environment in a fair while. Despite being reliable, and well built, they were incredibly prone to rust, resulting in many being killed off prematurely. Against the odds, this one has survived and despite being a bit frilly around the edges, is still looking good. I spoke to the owner who has no intention to get rid of the car and will be paying the ULEZ until it is old enough to be exempt.

I have a soft spot for 1970s and 1980s Fords and this Ford Granada MkII fits the bill perfectly. When Fords of that era turn up at the car shows that I cover, I make sure I get photos of them. These used to look like quite big cars back in the day but now in 2025 they're quite small compared to lots of todays cars.
