The Bell Tower stands up to 36 meters high, although it is located on a rectangular brick base.
With the entire original structure preserved intact, it is one of the best examples of authentic Ming and Qing dynasty architecture to be seen in Xian.
Inside are several bronze bells, responsible for marking the start of the day.
The largest bell is called Jingyun, it is almost two and a half meters tall and weighs 6,500 kilograms.
