May 30, 2010, 11:06 p.m. The Ottawa Race Weekend runs the 42.2 and 21.1 km races concurrently. The finish line photo includes marathoners Julia Ivory (orange shirt), Daniel Guay (blue shirt), Eric Blake (yellow shirt), and Lise Corbeil (holding sponges), and half-marathoners Gail Donnelly (pink top), Robi Vanos (arms raised), and Laura Rashleigh. In Ottawa, the half-marathon race starts 2 hours after the marathoners, so the finish line is very crowded at here at 4:06 & 2:06. At the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, the 2 races start at the same time, so it's a crowded start for the runners rather than a crowded finish. Which would you prefer? For me, the crush of the Ottawa finish is exciting.

Tara Rathbone (14857) of Orleans (Ottawa) and Sandra MacLeod (12874) of North York (Toronto) are both running well in the Ottawa Race Weekend's half-marathon race.
Tara's finishing chip time is 1:52:40, 7 minutes faster than last year, and a personal best (PB) time.
Sandra is running her second half-marathon race in less than a month, and her second race in two days. She'll finish in 1:53:58 chip time, which puts her within the top 10% for her age category.
