やってしまった。買ったばかりのX-E5を早速落としてしまって明日メーカーへ送ります。X-E4の感覚で鞄から取り出そうとしたら重みでポロリと手から落ちてしまった。修理は3週間ぐらいかかるらしいけどその間使えないのが一番辛いなあ。。

Alone on the Pedestal
Decided to go out to shoot with my Fuji XE1 (owned since 2012), to see whether it still holds that magic of the Xtrans 1, given the latest iteration XE5 just announced a few weeks ago. All the shots are taken on the same day with Fuji XE1 and XF 35 1.4 version. which I will share over the next few days. This is for people who are curious about the early days Fujifilm which seems to see a revival of interest... which I can understand why, that color scheme which seems to elude the subsequent Xtrans versions, which I do have a couple. Shot through a glass pane, the subtle color in the background and the lone bottle an opportunity for still life.

It has been a long while since I last used the Fuji XE1 and XF 35mm 1.4, which started my photography journey. This is no concidence as lately Fujifilm XE5 has just been announced, that pricked my interest on how well the 1st version XE1 fair. Well , you be the judge. I acquired this XE1 in around 2012 and my premise of viewing has not changed despite the megapixel scene expanding.. that is on my laptop, suffice to say it is more than enough.

Un prodigio, ma anche la cosa più naturale del mondo. Conservo in me una sensazione indefinibile, che le parole potrebbero dissolvere. C'è ancora tanta strada. Forse nel susseguirsi delle notti e dei risvegli che verranno, uno dopo l'altro, anche questo momento diventerà un sogno.

This is for people who are curious about the early days Fujifilm which seems to see a revival of interest... which I can understand why, that color scheme which seems to elude the subsequent Xtrans versions, which I do have a couple. I immediately noticed the Standard Provia in the Xtrans 1 just capture the shades of green so well unlike the Xtrans 2 and so on, it is so natural. The overall color scheme is just right and the B&W too.
I have posted 2 versions of this picture in color and B&W. The editing are done using the in camera built-in processing features.
