In March of 2023, my sister and I were given a HUGE haul of 166 dolls. Since so many of the dollies were in great condition, I decided not to film a transformation video featuring all of them. So we made this haul video so you could still see them all.
***I made a few mistakes in the video--we got Sun Sensation Ken (not Hawaiian Fun). One of the Disney Store Jasmine dolls is actually a 2015 JC Penney Wardrobe Set doll.

MANUFACTURER: Mattel
DOLLS IN LINE: Barbie; Teresa; Summer; Nikki; Ken; Steven
BODY TYPE: 1999; straight, non-bending legs; over sized flat feet
HEAD MOLD: 2003 "Summer"
PERSONAL FUN FACT: This doll's distinctive over sized feet gave away that she was originally sold in a beach line. I had no idea which one though, when she first arrived. Teresa was part of the "Mountains of Monsters Lot." In March of 2023, two ENORMOUS shipping boxes showed up on my porch. Someone had generously sent my sister and me a large gift of dollies. Some needed a ton of work. Others were like Teresa, and just required a quick clean. I realized after research that I already had this girl's original swimsuit. It was so exciting reunited a few of the dolls from the lot with their factory ensembles. Plus, I was always especially fond of this generic beach line, since the swimsuits were so distinctive. The prints and plastic shell components remind me fondly of something I would have grown up with. Teresa herself is a natural beauty. She has lovely green eyes that pop from the blue eye shadow she wears. And her hair is gorgeous too--I adore the caramel colored highlights. As a kid, I would have been drawn to her in stores (she reminds me of Cali Girl Teresa in a way). Of course, I would have been majorly bummed out by her over sized feet, since she couldn't fit any of my shoes. That's the fun of being an adult doll collector though--I can appreciate Teresa despite her "play value" limitations!

PERSONAL FUN FACT: It's really a shame that most present day beach themed Barbies are manufactured with molded/painted swimsuits instead of fabric ones. Despite the fact that Mattel has been creating swimsuit donning Barbies since the 60s, they never seem to run out of ideas. This wave of generically packaged beach dolls came with beautiful swimwear. I was very excited when I found both pieces to this particular one in the "Sweet Sunday Surprise lot" of 2018. The shell print and plastic adornment remind me ever so much of something Princess Ariel would wear. Sadly, most of my Ariel dolls wouldn't fit this swimsuit because of their 1995 Teen Skipper body molds. However the likes of Forever Hair, Glitter Hair, and a few other dollies would. Of course I'm not sure how this minty color would work with her obnoxiously red hair. That wouldn't have stopped me from using this on my childhood Ariel growing up though. I know that this swimsuit in particular won't spend much time in storage. I'm constantly finding beach themed Barbies sans outfits, and this one will be sure to look fabulous on any dolly!
All of the dolls I found came out of the same dolly bin and were a bargain at $2 each, dressed (tho' not always in their original clothes).
I rarely find My Scene dolls in this area, so this seemed like great luck to find 8 of them all at once, and in nice condition, IMO - not to mention that I almost missed a large zipper baggie stuffed with extra clothes and accessories priced at $6. (many of those "baggie bits" are pictured here)

The baggie was taped closed, so I couldn't investigate too closely before deciding whether to pay the $3 price ... but ... I could see enough of that blue wrap dress (1979/80 My First Barbie Fashions - Mattel #1368) to recognize it as a vintage item in good condition ... and that was enough for me! ;-)
The rest is just "gravy", which includes 3 dolls:
1. Barbie Cut'n Style Princess
2014 - Mattel #BCP41
** 2013 Millie opened-mouth sculpt
2. 2013 Classic Disney/Mattel Princess Belle is my best guess, she has the poseable arms, soft vinyl legs with internal knee joints, the shy side-glance, and no pronounced widow's peak hairline.
3. a cheapie blonde clone
Also:
1 pair of tropical print board shorts (from Barbie Fun in the Sun/Water Play Ken - 2016 Mattel #DGT83)
8 pairs of shoes, 1 necklace, a bunny ears headband,
a complete bikini (Barbie Beach - 2014 - Mattel #BCN23) and
2 additional bikini bottoms (1 from Beach Teresa - 2012 Mattel #X9599),
2 tutu skirts & ...
--- long skirt from
Barbie Easter Princess with Bunny (Target excl) - 2011 Mattel #W2942
... not to mention those marshmallows skewered on a stick, ready for roasting over a campfire - whoop! :-D
Some items that fall into the it's-a-total-mystery-to-me category include a silver seahorse (maybe he belongs to Ariel?).
A very small petal-cut skirt/collar/I dunno what?
A bright yellow panel with an inset, aqua-colored owl face and a tripod sort-of-a-candlestick-looking(but-not-quite-exactly)kinda-thingamabob ... ish.
Oh - and a pink sort of pouch-like thing, which I have twisted on over the clone's hair, towel-turban style.
1. Princess of the Danish Court
Barbie Dolls of the World - The Princess Collection
2002 - Mattel #56216
** 1991 Bob Mackie Face Sculpt
as found, loose in orig gown (no shoes)
(5 - N's F)
2. Teresa / Fab Life Beach Doll
2012 Mattel #X9599
** 2003 Summer sculpt
wearing Elsa's coronation gown - no tags
Appears to be from this 2014 JC Penney set:
www.flickr.com/photos/titania1989/15551266066/
(I really like this "clean" version of this gown, which has no glitter or screen-printed embellishment)
3. Sparkle Girlz Doll in her original outfit
4. Barbie Picnic Table Playset - 2018 Mattel #FXG40
If you happen to recognize any of these items I'd appreciate any ID help, thanks. :-)
Some of them are surely not "genuine Barbie" items
(in fact the little jacket in the group shot has a Lalaloopsy tag).
I think the pink lame pants are from Barbie Fashion Designer set - 2001 (Mattel #29399)
I do recognize the Bikini Bottoms from a Beach playline Barbie doll - 2012 Mattel #X9598
And the clam shell bikini from a Beach playline Teresa Doll -2012 Mattel #X9599
Disney Aladdin Jasmine harem outfit
*Thanks to farmspeedracer, I now know that the red cocktail dress was a 2007 Fashion Fever outfit (? #L3375 ?)
