Reason, Season, Lifetime Poem
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you figure out which one it is,
you will know what to do for each person.
When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

For this second last theme of the year…peace…I have photographed Otis and Fleur again in a festive setting.
For me, the holiday season is about peace, giving and forgiving, and inner joy. I don't want gifts for Christmas - what I want is world peace. I know that's asking a lot, and I don't expect it to happen, but we can start small. We can smile at others as they walk by - just a smile will often melt a heart and make someone's day. We can accept others as they are, even if they are completely different from us. We can respect others, because each of us expects to be respected. We can be positive, and live each moment to its fullest, as we really don't know if it is our last. And we can love without expecting anything in return. I believe that all these things will bring inner peace, and that's a start. It's not easy, but it's a goal to work towards.

That's my philosophical post for the year….
My Christmas wishes for you are...
COMPASSION to give to those that you feel are alone and are in need of a friend.
UNDERSTANDING with those that are different from you.
FORGIVENESS to those that in some way have hurt you.
PEACE, that all hate and wrongdoings come to a stop and only allow the beauty of love to surround you.
PATIENCE when you find yourself in desperate moments. Keep in mind that God never abandons you.
HEALTH for you and all you love ones (including your pets)
HAPPINESS in everything you do and encounter in life.
BEAUTY in everything you see, feel and listen to.
But most of all, I wish for you a heart full of LOVE,
love to spread abundantly where ever you may go.
That you may give it to others in handfuls and receive it back it in the same matter.

Gorgeous 10 month siamese Lilac is at CatChums and looking for a loving home as an only cat. I so much hope Lilac, Choccie and Rosie and siblings settle with good and kind people. I like to keep my photos happy and positive, but the full details of how these animals came into CatChums care is as heart wrenching as it is frustrating and thoroughly unnecessary. I would hope that anyone wanting a pedigree cat would either have a rescue or if it must be a breeder thoroughly check the cats' vets records and report any wrongdoing.
Moving forward, I have a super romantic sunset swan for you tomorrow, then next week lots and lots of !!!KITTENS!!! <3

1. It's embarrassing, I know, but I had no idea that Epstein was a delinquent paedophile.

I let Kip fall on her face in the snow! :( She'd better be OK!!! I thought I was safe because she was attached to a stand. Well, this picture is the evidence of my wrongdoing! She can use it against me in court.
Tokyo is largely regarded for being the safest major city in the world. While that could very possibly be true, it is still not without it's more grimy sides. Who knows what lurks in the dark in a place where little to no one would suspect wrongdoing?
This was taken at Omoide Yokocho (and as a matter of fact, it's just a few steps back from my "Saitama" shot, that red lantern on the left is the same one). Once again, there was no discernable way to get rid of the people in the shot because as expected the corridors of this tightly compact place are never unoccupied, I don't have anything to mask or clone to go over them.
I actually had a more broad and grand vision for this image, I initially intended to make the sky black, converting a day image to a night image, but none of the borders took to the new sky incredibly well after hours of experimentation, so I just used a gradient instead
This is an urban photographer's paradise, every corner has a suitable composition for a seedy dystopian looking shot (without the added danger of getting jumped). But it's also far from a "secret" place, so prepare accordingly.
