The wreck of the cruise ship 'World Discoverer' at Roderick's Bay, in the Florida Islands region of the Solomon Islands.
In April 2000, the ship struck an uncharted reef nearby and started taking on water. All passengers were safely evacuated but the ship developed a list and was deliberately grounded here to avoid it sinking. Soon written off, it has remained here ever since.

Super typhoon Meranti hit Taiwan on September 27th. Four fishing boats broke free during the storm and were swept across Kaohsiung harbour, crashing up against the sea wall bordering the stadium of National sun Yat-sen University. Although the authorities endeavoured to keep people away, a large number turned up after being housebound all through the previous day(me and the wife included) to observe the spectacle.
A few close up shots of the hull of a ship on Dungeness beach that probably won't see the sea again!

Shipwreck on inisheer, the smallest of the aran islands. The ship was called the Plassey and was wrecked in the 1960s. It now permanently sits above high tide.
This was one I took a while ago but decided to see how it'd turn out as a b&w.
The Garden Island Ships' Graveyard, in the North Arm of the Port Adelaide River, offers paddlers a chance to experience part of South Australia's early maritime history.
The 26 wrecks at Garden Island are part of one of the world's largest and most diverse ships' graveyards. Boasting the remains of sailing ships, steamers, motor vessels, ferries, barges, dredgers and pontoons, the site provides a unique glimpse into our past.
The mudflats the wrecks lay on are bounded by mangroves – one of the few remaining systems in metropolitan Adelaide. This eco-system provides a habitat for dolphins, other marine creatures and bird species, enhancing a recreational paddler's experience.
The trail is marked by three on-water signs near the main group of wrecks, as well as two on-land signs at the Garden Island boat ramp.

The jack man got pissed and closed their paddock area up tight about 5 seconds after I shot this... lol
I climbed inside the boiler of an old shipwreck on a very low tide.
The Florence was lost off Arbroath, Scotland in 1938. Mostly salvaged, only the boiler remains, and its fascinating for a bit of exploring.

The colours ran, and the front cover came off after the shower...I think thats wrecked enough for one day!
Melba and I were on the 10 driving to Phoenix today, and on the way there was a slowdown from a pickup truck that had tipped over in the median.
Someone who had stopped for that accident left their truck almost in the traffic lane, and a car passing by the parked truck swerved into the path of another car, a 50-ish guy in a new Jag XJ.
XJ driver ended up spinning the XJ trying to avoid the first car and rammed it into a guardrail ass first. All we saw was a lot of tire smoke and bouncing plastic chunks.
There were about 8 cars between us and the accident, but none of those 8 stopped, so I pulled over and helped out for about 10 minutes.
