legends abound concerning this wreck on the river weaver near dutton --before it's conversion to a pleasure boat and subsequent demise due to neglect it was probably one of liverpool's once numerous fishing fleet---but now the wreck sinks deeper into the weaver mud with each passing year----I intend to return to see what is left
The Metra commuter train derailed in Mt Prospect by a truck driver blowing thru a down signal gate, now sits in the UP Metra yard at Western Ave in Chicago.

this row of houses in inner city Calgary is slated to be demolished. Local artist got together and turned the old houses into a temporary art gallery. Pretty cool!
Yes, so in no way am I good at art. It has never happened, and it never will; but I bought a Wreck This Journal more than a year ago and I decided that it was time to actually use it. I'm also learning how to use watercolors and yep, here is the result.

My shot was over-exposed, so I decided to experiment with a faux High Key effect. Rusted steel hull, permanently beached in the shallows of Namibia's Pelican Point with a new career as a barnacle farm.
A passenger in this red pickup truck was taken to the Medical Center of South Arkansas for observation Wednesday evening after it slammed into the back of a semi-truck that was stopped in front of the Mobil Station on U.S. 82 waiting to turn into the truck stop. The driver of the pickup, Robert Paul Phillips of 170 Razorback Road, El Dorado, was cited for following too close. The woman passenger in the pickup didn't appear to be badly injured,according to a state trooper, but was not wearing a seat belt and hit her head on the windshield.
After sunset, the horizon is lit up with an orangish glow.. the sand on the beach also reflect this light creating a parallel yellow line.
Taken at a Fleetwood nature reserve where many old ships are put to rest. there are some wonderful textures, colours and shapes. went out with the photography group of our newly formed Wyre U3A.

The wheel wreck represents the remains of a mid 19th century sailing vessel. The site is characterised by a mound of cargo that consists of mining equipment, mainly pipes, rising mains and clack valves associated with pumping, sheave wheels, drive wheels and boiler tubes. The identity of the vessel is the subject of ongoing research.
