Ice Resin poured over bubble wrap, came out really nice. Im going to pour some clear resin over this as well to maintain all the tiny bits within the circles.
Korean cuisine to die for! I have no idea what the meat is except that it was delicious. I looked in vain for a poster in the butcher's like we have in Canada, showing where all the cuts are located in a cow diagram. I wanted to get a flank steak to grill a Steak Teriyaki. They all shook their heads, didn't know what I was talking about..
I attached embossed paper leaves to copper wiring in one of my videos and they waited until I could find where I wanted to use them. I found the best leaves to finish the job on a coil of autumn leaf garland and made this wrap with paper wrapped wire. It has a great wooden look and the leaves are stiff and make realistic rustling whispers in your ear! I just love it! (If I can say that.)
Now wrap the short piece of wire around the longer part of wire. With the way I've got it in the picture above, wrap the wire down towards the floor, then up towards you, then away from you, etc. Wrap as many times as you want-- I usually do 3 complete wraps. I find that it looks the best.
There is a little finagling here to make sure the long part of the wire is straight, the wraps end up straight, in tight rows, and cut as close to the base as possible (you don't want the tip of the cut wire sticking out). It should look like this (sorry it's blurry!).

bento wraps furoshiki, tie-dye and fold/peg dye
The other day i did some dyeing and made these furoshiki / handkerchiefs. They are messily done (not very japanese) but its kind of realistic.
Its a practical cloth, people use every day. It can double as a tablecloth or napkin, it holds the box together.
What a combination: art and textile and function and food!

Light and filling, this chicken wrap always leaves me satisfied without feeling bogged down. It is so worth it to roast your own chicken.
Serves 3
For the roasted chicken:
1 chicken breast, bone in, skin on
Oilve oil
Salt
Black Pepper
For the wraps:
3-8 inch flour tortillas
Ranch dressing
1 tomato, diced and seasoned with salt and pepper
1 green onion, sliced into thin rounds
1 red chile pepper, finely diced
3/4 cup monterey jack cheese, shredded
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Roast the chicken:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Rinse the chicken breast in cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Place the chicken breast on a sheet pan and rub with olive oil. Sprinkle gernerously with salt and pepper. Roast for 35 to 40 minutes, until cooked through. When cool enough to handle, remove the meat from the bones, discard the skin. and shred the chicken meat.
Make the wraps:
Place 1/3 of the shredded chicken in a line down the center of each tortilla. Drizzle ranch dressing over chicken. Top with 1/3 of the tomatoes and then with 1/4-cup shredded cheese. Sprinkle 1/3 green onion and diced red chile pepper evenly over cheese. To soften the tortillas, microwave each wrap on high for 10 seconds. Roll up the tortillas.
Heat a large frying pan over medium heat. Spread butter or margarine on rolled wraps. Place wraps, seam side down in frying pan. Fry until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side.
Tips:
I usually roast the chicken breast several hours before, or even the day before I make this meal. That way the chicken has plenty of time to rest before I shred it.

This was a big project. It took me two months and almost 1,700 yards of lightweight yarn. That's a lot of stitches. But I really love how it turned out.
My favorite bubble-wrap flower (even though ES says there aren't any blue flowers that look like this!). I made them by coiling approximately 1"-wide flattened large bubble wrap, hot-gluing the back, then lightly spray-painting with Krylon paint. It's for a Secret-Garden themed runway fashion at the Des Moines Bubble Ball (www.childserve.org/index.php/details) at the end of March 2012 to benefit ChildServe.
EDITING: i brought up the exposure, shadows, and clarity and made the blacks darker. with a brush i added more clarity and SHOOTING: i had to wake him up from his 20 hour sleep!!

This lined circle skirt was made from a thrifted sheet. I used the circle skirt tutorial from Dana Made It and the wrap skirt modification from Simple Simon & Co.
A piece of sheet metal (probably from the farm on Highway 2A) wrapped around a tree in the shelter belt pictured in the preceding photos. This metal was wrapped around the trunk so tightly that the edges of it touched. The strongest winds were likely in this spot as eastward forward motion combined with the tornado's overall circular motion (translating to a west wind, likely over 200 km/h).
