Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo, make a comment or Fave it.
What I thought of when I photographed this bundle of wooden pillars on the old Cornwall canal. They were designed as a barrier to the embankment of the canal, at least a century old.

What scenery at home is complete for the holidays without wrapping paper laying around? This new item is 3 rolls of wrapping paper with individual HUDs to change each of the 3 rolls. Now, did you know that you can use more than one HUD on the wrapping paper? Say you bought Deer, Wreaths, and Stars. You can have white Deer, green Wreaths, and red Stars! Just have to buy the packages individually, cause if I made a collector HUD for it all, it would have well over 126 buttons!
To use different HUDs: just wear one, pick what you want, detach that HUD and wear the other and pick.
Only the 7 HUDs work with this Wrapping Paper set: Deer, Stars, Wreaths, Pink & Mint, Tissue Paper, Vintage, Rococo.
Each HUD is only 150L!!!
Square lashing is a type of lashing knot used to bind poles together. Large structures can be built with a combination of square and diagonal lashing, with square lashing generally used on load bearing members and diagonal lashing usually applied to cross bracing. If any gap exists between the poles then diagonal lashing should be used.
1. Begin with a clove hitch on the vertical pole beneath the horizontal pole and tuck the loose end under the wrapping.
2. Wrap in a square fashion about three times around the poles.
3. Frap two or three times, pulling often to work the joint as tight as possible.
4. Tie two half hitches around the horizontal pole
5. Cinch the half hitches into a clove hitch, an additional clove hitch may be added if desired.
When the turns are taken around the vertical pole they should be inside the previous turns. The ones around the cross pole should be on the outside of the previous turns. This makes sure that the turns remain parallel and hence the maximum contact between the rope and wood is maintained.
Strength is improved if care is taken to lay the rope wraps and fraps in parallel with a minimum of crossing.

Today is very cold strong eagerly wind and the chill factor makes it feel like -3C. So keeping warm with wooden leggings and a wool dress is essential

...there has been so much more over the years done that isn't captured in a picture.I wish I had... Since I have this account, I 'll try to keep a file of all the gift wrapping I do, both for friends / family and the Etsy shop. Running this shop is to become more than just happy crafting hours...a more professional approach is what I wish/intent for and packaging is a very important part of it...
Here, are just a few picks of recently made packaging...

Hello, internet dwellers!
As the year is coming to a close, I have made a compilation of (most of) my MOCs of 2017. And there are many!
I can look back on a year of unprecedented success; with my builds bigger and more diverse than before, shown off at multiple conventions, and blogged by various websites.
Of course, I hope to amaze and inspire you even more in 2018! I wish you all a happy New Year!
P.s. I made a separate album for my minifig creations of 2017: flic.kr/s/aHsktR8E6N
I ran out of my regular packaging so decided to use some of my favorite grey organic cotton...the recipient sews, so I doubt it will be wasted.
I found myself in receipt of a lovely Easter gift today wrapped in gorgeous paper. I couldn't resist doing a 'reflection in a spoon' shot as I have been meaning to do one of these with a butterfly for a long time but couldn't find one that I really liked. Shame the paper had been used and so shows some wear and tear but I do like the butterfly bokeh that I got.
I had not previously really noticed this growing collection of florist's bouquet wrapping. My wife likes to save them - her odd habit has allowed my odd photographic habit an ideal subject to test out a "new" ancient lens.
