This year, I decided on elegant packaging of Christmas gifts, with a combination of silver and brown tones. All I need is a roll of wrapping paper, sticky tape, paper rope and a message card. Intentionally in this case, the seriousness of the packaging will be broken by the message on the card because there will be gingerbreads in the form of Smile emoji in the box.

(a card is 3cm long, text was written during editing)

A pair of GE ES44ACs are on the head end (UP No. 7701 and BNSF No. 6345, while a mid-train DPU of three more locomotives can be seen on the tangent on the other side of Big 10 Curve.

This is for Macro Mondays' theme: wrapping--things necessary to wrap a gift. Tape is usually essential.

These are some of my favorite and best figs (In my opinion) that I made this year.

Whether they took a while to make, had multiple versions, or were just praised so highly, I love all of them.

Now onto what this post is really for.

2016.

Man, what a year.

I joined in April, and I want to thank everyone who followed me.

Thank you for following, faving, commenting, tagging, and welcoming me!

I've met a ton of new people.

Before I got my Flickr I used to browse on the mobile site. I made bookmarks of some of my favorite people, just to check on their posts.

I never thought I would be talking to them.

But here I am.

This year I got more than 300 followers. I didn't even think I'd make it to 100.

Now to thank a few special people.

Jacob Carlson. He was the first to ever commission me, so thank you so much for that. He's a really great friend and has followed me for as long as I can remember.

Aaron. Thank you LegoMatic9! If you even see this, you followed me on my first day. My face lit up when I got the notification, because you have always been a true inspiration to me.

Tom Keese. You're such a nice guy. You welcomed me, followed me, and we've even talked a bit. I love your posts and more importantly, your comments. They're always so uplifting!

Cesar. This guy is truly incredible. He always faves my photos. He tags me in his posts that I miss. This guy is so on top of it, and his figs are so unique!

Jerdfigs. He's a super great guy. I've always admired his sculpts and the detail he puts into his figs. I strive to be as good as a sculptor as he is.

Tom Beke. This guy is phenomenal. His figs are fantastic. His skills are way beyond mine. Overall, he's just an extraordinary person.

Liv}. My closest friend here on Flickr. She writes incredible Wonder Woman stories. She has also helped me out a ton on Wips. She has great hairstyle ideas, and even suggested Jyn's. Thank you for being my friend!

If you're not mentioned above, I didn't mean to leave you out. I wanted to thank some of my biggest inspirations. If you are one of my 300+ followers, thank you for supporting my work!

2016 may have had a few weak points, but it has been pretty great for me!

Thanks all and here's to 2017!

For the great upcoming theme called #wrapping i decided to use a combination of a wonderful glittery wrapping paper together with a little helper! The wrapping cuter is pleased to help wrapping up all those gifts for the upcpoming Xmas! Even if he only meassures 15mm, he works like a big guy!

Gift wrapping is the act of enclosing a gift in some sort of material. Wrapping paper is a kind of paper designed for gift wrapping. An alternative to gift wrapping is using a gift box or bag. A wrapped or boxed gift may be held closed with ribbon and topped with a decorative bow (an ornamental knot made of ribbon).

The use of wrapping paper is first documented in ancient China, where paper was invented in 2nd century BC. In the Southern Song dynasty, monetary gifts were wrapped with paper, forming an envelope known as a chih pao. The wrapped gifts were distributed by the Chinese court to government officials. In the Chinese text Thien Kung Khai Wu, Sung Ying-Hsing states that the coarsest wrapping paper is manufactured with rice straws and bamboo fiber.
