On Monday, November 11, 2024, the nation observed Veterans Day. At Arlington National Cemetery, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and VA Secretary Denis McDonough observed the day with a traditional wreath-laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier followed by a commemorative service in the cemetery amphitheater. Following the program, Veteran Service Organizations and other Veteran groups laid wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. (VA/Eugene Russell- U.S. Army Veteran)
Alaska National Guard Soldiers from the 297th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade's Headquarters and Headquarters Company and 207th Brigade Support Company, participate in a week long community based event at the Eagle River Nature Center near Eagle River, August 4, 2016.
