Stanage Edge overlooks the Peak District. This view is back the other direction, and I thought worthy of a shot. There is a small fenced area in the middle of the shot.

It may be mid-teen temperatures and 20+mph winds, but that isn't stopping me from braving the cold for some pictures! With a hefty train in tow for Cadwell, Shelbyville, etc, the UP LSB54 gains speed after slowing for a northbound grain train to enter Tuscola siding. Crew members Strubinger and Garfield will soon be hopping out and braving the cold to perform their duties for the day. This weather doesn't stop the railroad!

Victor Frankenstein was my Father, but maybe you're him? You both act the same...creating children, filled with flaws, so you feel justified punishing them, torturing them, abandoning them...attempting to murder them? You who claim to be a "God", who claims he loves life? No,.... you are the one worthy of the title of "Devil".
a wonderful friend sent it to me this morning ...
"Photographers' closest cousins are architects, as I have discovered through Lélia's studies. Like us, they navigate between fullness and emptiness, issues of light, line and movement, in the quest for consistency between their way of life, their ideology, their history. In the end, all of this is related. That is the magic of architecture, like photography."

Nature has endowed the relief of this vast rock formation with incredible colors. In Spanish, the Valle del Arcoiris means "Valley of the Rainbow", a name worthy of this grandiose landscape of red, white, yellow and brown cliffs standing out against the blue sky. This emblematic site of San Pedro de Atacama attracts visitors from all over the world to admire its splendid colors.

We are going to be leaving soon to head for one of our favorite places. My daughter-in-law has a beautiful old 1700's house in the hills of Connecticut with lovely Fall drives in every direction. Cannot wait!

You alone O God have displayed Your handiwork in the heavens and Your glory fills the earth! I am so thankful that I got to witness the beauty of the Aurora Borealis in its full glory shining brightly over the Northern Minnesota landscape. It is something that I had wanted to see for many years as the last time that I saw it was over 18 years ago. This night was truly a blessing and a truly mesmerizing sight to behold!
The local botanical garden planted 18,000 daffodil bulbs across a large lawn. It is quite a lovely sight in full bloom.
... For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
By William Wordsworth (1770-1850).
HMBT!!
Thanks indeed everyone for your personal comments and also your support from selected groups.
Awards are encouraging and especially from those that add my work to their 'faves'.

A very chase worthy severe warned thunderstorm. Another fun storm to watch go through many cycles. I liked this shot of the chase truck about to be in the thick of things!
He seems very happy with his Beetle find and she is waiting, hoping it is for her.
The bond they form is truly amazing and before the weather turns cold they will fly all the way to Indonesia, then return for the next spring and breeding season. To think that this little bird can fly all that way and find their way back again to reunite with their true love is an incredible feat and worthy of admiration.
